Rated 4 out of 5 by jackwagon A lot more comfort.
I bought this for my son because I made the mistake of buying the Franklin cup at wal mart. My son had been complaining that the Franklin cup was hurting him as the outer rubber edge did not provide enough support and was digging into him.. So I finally felt bad enough and went and bought this one. He says it is very comfortable and has not experienced any discomfort. He likes the gel lining around the edge. Hope this helps. Would give a higher rating but I think it's a bit pricey. You do get what you pay for though.

I purchased one for me and another for my son. Excellent protection for both football and full contact sparring. Lightweight but very rigid

Rated 5 out of 5 by Big T. Best cup I've every had
Works great, very comfortable, effective. The hard outer layer resists all kinds of shock, and it sends it down to the the inner layers, where it is absorbed. I've never had any problems, and my family jewels are still alive and thriving! It looks great too! I've used it for Youth Football, and I bought a larger one for High School football! Things will get serious, and this is my cup of choice.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Baseball Mom Athletic support not supportive
Built anatomically incorrect. Built for a crotch but not a human's. To add insult to injury, Dick's did not allow us to return the product even though it had never been worn! I ask you, how is one supposed to ensure proper fit w/o trying it on? The product never touched customer's skin. Now we are stuck with a product that we cannot use! Not good Dick's...not good.

I bought this cup at the start of this year's baseball season and it has been a great protector of the family jewels! It stays in place better than any other cup I have used. I highly recommend.
