The Smith Ceramic sharpening rod is well balanced and easy to use.... It is just like a regular steel but not only straightens the edge it put a new edge on it. It is also easy to clean up with just a sponge and a little soap and water.... This steel should last a lifetime if it is maintained and not dropped....
