the best edge is from a stone
I have tried every sharpener made and I always come back to a stone
nothing to plug in or buy batteries for

works to perfection with honing liquid from smiths as well...can use on a variety of blades from knives to scissors and hatchets.

Works Great
I used this stone to sharpen my small pocket knife and it worked great. The blade had a small nick in it and now it's gone.

Poor quality
The stone detached from the plastic base within 1 minute of use. It looked like they used 3 drops of hot melt glue to fasten the stone to the base.Smith used to make good products [*]. But the stone itself is of good quality and I would rather have the stone removeable so it's good it came apart lol...

i use this to sharpen my swiss army pocket knife. There is nothing good I can say at all about this stone. I tried using it and it dulled my hunter champion knife even more than it allready was.

The Sharper Edge
I have used this stone to hone my pocket and kitchen knives. The edge is dull when I start out but when I'm done they have the ability to cut bone. At least when I am using them. The fact the stone is in a case doesn't bother me at all. In fact it is a plus for me because I tend to come too close to cutting myself sometimes.
