i read many good reviews regarding this product that's why I bought it. I owned it for about three months now. I used it about 5 times since I owned it. Level guide is rusted, very noisy, not smooth, decal on the spool release came off, paint bubbles on both sides of the spool release which is the end result of salt and aluminum. I have 10 rods on my boat and wash them with fresh water after every trip. I am very disappointed. I felt like I wasted $90.

Seems to be a great product. I have the Sabalos spinning reel and use Blair's flats blue rods and they are awesome. I expect this to hold up to the same standards. Very smooth reel and drag. Easy to cast and adjust. Best value as well. I spent the same amount on my old quantum and it was never as good as I thought it should be.

Very smooth cast and durable construction. I've had mine about a year now and it hasn't failed me yet. It's my "go to" reel. I like it better than my Revo that I paid twice as much for.It is a little noisier than the Revo, but it is smoother. I know that doesn't seem to make sense, but that's my take on it. I use it for bass fishing in Louisiana. I also use it for trout, kingfish, flounder fishing at Grand Isle and Dauphin Island,AL

I bought this to use on a popping rod for top water lures and it works pretty good. The drag and the anti-backlash system work better than some of my more expensive reels. The click star drag is nice but the only negative is that the backlash system makes a winding noise when turned up, but it doesn't effect the smoothness of the reel from what I can tell. I'm very pleased with the reel, great price point for a saltwater reel.
