Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Overall Good Stand I bought this stand a few years ago for bowhunting and firearm deer hunting. I chose this particular stand because of the size of the platform and the height of it. I like a bigger stand due to the fact I like being comfortable and if I'm comfortable, the more time I will spend in the tree. I set everything up as directed and afterwards decided to do away with the seat and seat pedestal. I'm 6' 2" and about 200lbs and found when I sat in the seat my knees were up against the curtain and I had very little leg room and was unable to stretch my legs without having to stand up. So I did away with the seat and pedestal and elected to put a chair in the stand instead. The height of the shooting rail is nice for shooting a long gun while seated as it gives you a really sturdy rest. I can also shoot my compound bow over the railing with ease, but it may be difficult for a person who is a little shorter than I am. The only other issue I found was that the concealment curtain attached to the railing by Velcro as opposed to if it had metal grommets which you could use zip ties. I found that the wind constantly blows the curtain around and it comes detached from the rail pretty often. Assembly of the stand was somewhat time consuming and physically putting the stand up against a tree could be difficult as it's very heavy, especially top heavy. I was able to get the stand up on the tree myself but only with the use of an EZ Up device made for installing ladder tree stands. If you don't have one, you will most likely need a friend to help you. Aside from those couple issues, the stand is roomy and rock solid. The price is slightly on the high side, but, I would consider purchasing another one at some point. August 30, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Okay Stand This stand is good for shooting a rifle from and maybe a crossbow, but the rail is to high and to close to the seat to shoot a compound bow from. I also had a problem with attaching the backrest, the backrest had a 1/4" gap between the rest and the mounting tabs which made the 1 1/4" bolts that were suppose to attach it with to short and I had to buy two 1/4" spacers and two bolts that were 1 3/4" long to attach the backrest and I sent Rivers Edge an email about the problem and they did not answer my email. The tree stand is heavy and will require 2 or more people to set it up. December 15, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by comfort, quiet, and camo!! Super stoked to hunt out of spin shot stand. Directions to assemble were confusing but once together it is an amazing stand! Went up on tree very easily with rope and two guys. Seat is quiet and comfy. I hope you enjoy it as much as I'm going to!! August 29, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by This deer stand is a quality product As I already own a River's Edge Spin Shot ladder stand I had a need for another one. So I ordered one and it is better than my other stand. Improvements to the seat are great. This is a top quality deer stand well worth the cost. Order arrived with the seat spinner assembly missing and contacted River's Edge customer service and had a replacement in 3 days. An excellent product for the price. If I have a need for a another stand I will order the same stand again. August 24, 2015
