Comments about Coleman Dual Fuel Powerhouse Deluxe Stove (2 Burner):

Step one - READ THE MANUAL. I've amazed so many campers by demonstrating how to assemble, light and burn one of these stoves. It is NOT difficult, but if it is possible to do it wrong, somebody will. It's not a macho thing either, even the ladies assume they know how to work one of these. The instructions on the lid are only crib notes. Do it by the book one time and you will be set for life.

Step two - keep the pump lubricated. 2-3 drops of high grade mineral oil every year will keep the leather soft and the pump working. If you can, get a spare leather and a tube of pump oil.

I got my first stove 30 years ago. I had to replace the pump leather one time after it had been in storage for several years. That stove is still going strong. I just picked up another at a thrift store (not telling you what I paid). It looked like it had been used one time... improperly, of course... which may explain what it was doing in the thrift store. Except for the color of the tank, it's identical to the one I purchased years ago. You don't change a great design.

I've seen some people complain that it's difficult to clean. That has not been my experience. It might be a little awkward getting your hand around the burners. The grill detaches for easy cleaning. All surfaces except the burner assembly have an enamel paint that cleans with a damp rag. Clean it as soon as it's cool... don't wait until you get home and everything is baked on.

Comments about Coleman Dual Fuel Powerhouse Deluxe Stove (2 Burner):

I bought this stove for pure burning power and thats what it has...We used it all weekend long when we went camping. We used it for breakfast, coffee, soup, boiled a BIG pot of corn on the cob,hot water for dishes, and grilled cheese. And that was one day. After we got back home, the tank was still 1/4 full. The only bad thing was the thin construction of this stove.
