Rated 4 out of 5by Great bike for the price While I think Schwinn LeTour I had in the mid 70's was a better bike, I think the Alamosa is a good value. The gear selectors were easily re-learned even after 40 years of not riding a bike. I am still getting used to being back in the saddle so I can't give a more thorough evaluation than so far so good. Rated 3 out of 5by Nishiki Mountain Bike I went online and read reviews of this bike. The instore experience was great. I have now used the bike a couple of times. The bike performs well riding it. Shifting between gears front and back is smooth. The front shock and brakes work well. My only issue so far is the front wheel. it has a quick release. It has come out of alignment while transporting on my bike rack so I have had to adjust it when I arrive at the bike trail. Not a big deal but none of my other bikes require the adjustment. Rated 5 out of 5by Finally, a bike he will not outgrow! We've had trouble finding a bike that is age appropriate and allows for these long leg growth years. Thi Nishike was a quality bike...and with the sale price...it was no contest. We got the white...and it is a hit. August 23, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5by This bike is a good entry level bike. For the features this is a good price for the bike. Price jumps 100-150 to get additional features. The store associate was amazing to work with and the bike rep was helpful making adjustments to the bike. August 23, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5by Great bike! Bought this bicycle for my son, and he loves it! Took it on mountain bike trails, and it performed well! We were at the beach last week, and he rode it all the time! The quick shifters work great! August 13, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5by bikes took 3 days to get because of tuning issues After I got my bike a mile down the road my handlebars were loose...I tried to turn and the wheel stayed straight. I just had surgery 6 weeks ago and now I'm so sore from my fall I can't even ride it. July 7, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5by Chain comes off sprockets Chain should not be coming off sprockets. Will have to make another trip back to the store for adjustments July 6, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5by Tough Bike Bought this on sale and I am glad I picked this bike. I was looking at other bikes in the store and this one just felt right. It has the trigger shifters which I like better than the others. It feels nice and sturdy yet comfortable. When doing my research I noticed that there is stigma out there about buying bikes at a big retail chain. Comments are made that any bike bought from a chain store is not a "real bike". I could see this bike easily being sold at an independent bike shop. And honestly, I bet I could replace all the stickers on this bike with a "Giant" or "Trek" name and nobody would know the difference. Overall, I had a great experience buying this bike. The employee helped me pick out the right size frame and put the bike I picked on the lift and adjusted everything before I left. He was very helpful. If you find a bike you feel comfortable with and meets your budget, go for it no matter where it is being sold. They are all "real" bikes. June 23, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5by Very Nice Bike! Took it to the trails and it was great! I can't believe I was able to get a MTN bike with aluminum frame and all shimano parts for under $300 bucks. The frame is light and like I said is all 6061 aluminum. The company did a great job with the welds.Overall, the frame is excellent. Thumb shifting was fast with no issues getting into gears. The front fork was very good at taking out some of the bumps during the trail. Overall, this is an excellent bike! Very nice to ride. I am glad I picked this bike! June 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5by Great Bike for the Price I have owned this bike for about 2.5 years and I have never regretted buying it. My bike is still in excellent condition and I have never had to take it to the shop or have any major parts fixed/replaced. It is very basic and some of the parts such as the tires are nothing fancy, but it would be easy to buy this basic bike for the low price and then customize it yourself still probably costing you way less than an upgraded version of another brand like specialized. Perfect quality for this price and for those looking for a cheap bike, it is worth spending a little more than what you would at walmart, this bike exceeds any generic bike at a department store, by a long shot.
