Rated 1 out of 5 by Do Not Buy!!! Everything gets cut off the top and the bottom and the longer I used it the more the text started disappearing on the screen. When you walk the numbers don't move on it. I will walk from room to room and the numbers never up date. so you might of walked 50 steps and it it never changes. Very disappointed with it and will be returning it. October 26, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Garmin vivosmart Fitness Band with HRM This is my third vivosmart. When it works it's great, but when it receives updates the battery no longer holds a charge and the device stops working all together. I'm now returning my third vivosmart and will not get another one! April 19, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Garmin vivosmart fitness band I actually really like this product. My ONLY gripe, and part of this might be to my own misunderstanding, is that when you want to check your heart rate, you have to strap on the heart monitor first. That to me is a huge pain. It is for that reason only that Illl be trading this model in for one that has the heart monitor on the wrist. January 15, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Really expensive pedometer Perhaps if I was a runner or just planned on doing aerobics this would be a great product for me. The heart-rate monitor quit working after the first day. I don't know why as I had charged the watch after the first night. Also, if the activity you are doing doesn't involve motion in a direction (ie weight lifting) the tracker will not count the calories burned. I bought this to track my calories during Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. The watch acted like I hadn't done anything the whole hour. It kept buzzing and telling me to, "Move!". The other problem I saw is that I work out for 4 hours a day at the gym 5-6 days a week. Other than that I generally sit around either driving, reading, or watching TV. I will walk on the weekends sometimes at stores or around, but most of my activity is at the gym. As this counts steps it was constantly telling me to move. Sorry, but resting is required sometimes. I would definitely recommend this to runners or people who walk and do mainly cardio, and don't mind wearing the watch all day every day. Not my cup of tea though. May 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love the fit I don't like things that fit too snug on my wrist and this is perfect. I was worried that it wouldn't record steps since it wasn't a tight fit but that is not the case. The heart monitor works great. April 29, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by I love the device / the software interface could be improved upon i researched these products throughly I' do serious walking ,weight circuit training, and occasional swimming. Two years ago I lost 55 lbs and exercise has helped me maintain that weight for over a year. I orginally was pretty excited about some of the new devices with on wrist heart rate monitors Some factors ilimited though cooled me on those devices. 1 That type of heart-rate monitor is highly inaccurate when compared to a chest strap. Accurate heartrate was a must. 2. At my age it's easy to walk into a pool with a band on ,most are not recommended for water and your investment is fried. 3. They are pretty bulky ,and in some cases clunky and uncomfortable . You have to want to wear it for it to be a benifit. 4. It had to be IOS comparable 4. It had to actually be available a the net is filled with devices that sound great but you can only preorder ,some have been promising delivery since the fall of 2014 and are now quoting 2nd qtr 2015 delivery. As a retired manufacturing and logistics manager, that a telling sign to me of future problems. The Garmin satisfied all my wants I own a Garmin GPS, and a Garmin Approach In fact my Approch is about 5 years old. I golfed nearly evey day fot 3 years than went on a 2 year hiatus. I removed the batteries from the Garmin and put it away for 2 years. When I recently started golfing again ,I simply put in recharged batteries and the approach worked perfectly .That settled the issue in Garmin's favor. The device is sleek , the read-out ,battery life, have all performed as advertised.its syncs automatically . The sleep feature is great. One of my favorite features is vibration alarms. I would frequently miss calls if my phone was in my jacket pocket ,with the vibration alert I haven't missed a call. The read-out indicates who is calling. The accuracy of the steps are fine for the normal person. I've had a little difficulty getting use to the Garmin Connect software, I use My fitness Pal in conjunction with Garmin Connect but I wish it integrated directly to my Weight Watcher Software. Rated 1 out of 5 by incorrect everything Calorie burn, incorrect. Count is off by thousand at times. Step counter, VERY incorrect! Calibrating stride did not help at all. Ie, 3218 recorder when only 1286 actual. Does not sync well with "My Fitness Pal" app. Maybe a Garmin issue, maybe not. Dont care who's it is really. January 13, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it! I just started using it last night. I love it! It works very well and it motivates me to workout last night so, I could reach my step goal! January 2, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Overall satisfied I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because of the connect online, the site could use an update. I bought the vivosmart and then a month later bought a new phone, once I tried switching over my data doesn't save properly. The band itself is great and I've had no problems with it.
