Rated 4 out of 5 by countryboy2 its great for shootin I shot this sumbitch broad heads penatrate that target 2 inches through the back. field tips leave no damage but broad heads do. this is at 25 yards 70#. October 4, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by ncdeerman Just make sure you know the size before you purchase Easy removal of arrows. 50lbs bow will not penetrate all the way through target either. Just make sure you realize this is smaller square target. October 3, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by MaryLyn Practical and Fits My Needs I shoot on a daily basis, just for the enjoyment of it so i don't use broad heads or fancy arrows. I have a 55" recurve with a 35lb draw eight, and bullet points. The broad side of the target has no limits, but if you chose to use the sides, it says to use only field tips. This isn't a problem for me, but if you're going to use razor or broad heads this is probably useful to know. Like I said, I just shoot for the fun of it with some stunt shooting in there, so I don't know how useful this would be to a hunter, but I'm completely pleased. September 27, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by neeko A steal at 29.99 I bought this at dick's this morning and I've put around 100 arrows in it and it still looks brand new, I'm not sure what people are looking for at this price range but I shoot a Mathews chill at 70Lbs at about 330 fps and it stops my arrows with no problem. Rated 4 out of 5 by Hillbilly Not for Cross Bows or Broadhead Tips I only use field tips to practice shooting on this target. The outer seal that keeps the foam tight gets cut easily. I duct taped it tight again. Small at 40 yards out. September 22, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Arrow43 just returned mine Bought to shoot my crossbow into. It does not stop the bolts before the fletching is buried, wrecking the vanes. I DO NOT have a high end powerful crossbow, and even out at 30 yards, the fletching still buries. probably fine for regular bows. kudos to dicks for returning, and switching it out for the Mackenzie bag target, which works great. I do like how light it is, but ineffective at stopping crossbows. September 19, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Fedfire37 Not safe for broadheads I bought one of these because my old block classic want able to stop my arrows from going through after several years of use. I shoot primarily 4 blade fixed heads from a 60 lb. Compound with 375 grain arrows. My bow is IBO rated 309 FPS. Within 8 shots I had an arrow blow through the target completely. Most other shots go in almost to the fletching. Just have a proper back backstop if you plan to use this target. September 18, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by JasonBourne Negative reviews of this are crazy! I just bought my second one of these today (same target at field and stream), having shot probably 300 field tips into my other one at 50-55 lb draw weights. It's still standing up very well but eventually will wear out (ALL targets do), so wanted a backup. Let's get things straight: this is an entry level target. There is a reason why others are a hundred bucks. This CAN take a limited amount of broadheads, but if you think ANY foam target can get shot and over and over without being shredded I don't know why you would think that. There's no reason to be target shooting with broadheads anyway; that is what field tips are for. Yes, confirm your broadheads are hitting where the field tips do, but regular target shooting with them is pointless. As for penetration, with my 400 grain arrows at 55 lbs I get 6-8" of arrow sticking out the back. That leaves ample on the front to pull the arrow out. But, as such it's important the target is not against a wall or else you WILL hit that wall. Also, at 70 lbs I bet I would sink down to the fletching. But for the price I think this target is just fine and will withstand many field tips. I'm rating this as a $30 target, not a $100 one, because it doesn't cost $100. September 13, 2016
