Rated 1 out of 5 by No Standby Capability on T50 Series: Try T51VP3 instead !! A few weeks ago I purchased a pair of T50's from the local Dicks' store. As I read the T51 specs, the two seem to be the same. I truly hope they are not. I put the T50 pair in standby mode, whereas they were on the same frequency and privacy code, and they both lasted about seven minutes. And this was after an initial charge. So I took them back and swapped them for another pair. I went through the same setup procedure, including the full charge, and they both went dark after only about three minutes. My recommendations are based on the reasonable assumption that the T50's are being replaced by the T51VP3's, and that the latter have a decent (10-12 hour) standby capability. My need was for monitoring a medical patient; I can't imagine the T50's being suitable for hunting or other outdoor sports. For what it is worth, I was unable to reach Midland support via telephone. The local store provided an initial no-hassle swap, and ultimately a no-hassle return. Thanks, Dicks Lexington. April 1, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fits our need. These miniature radios replace earlier Midland units that were about five years old. The small size allows them to be conveniently carried in shirt pocket and have sufficient power for my wife and I to clearly converse anywhere on our 13 acre wooded property...an excellent safety measure for this octogenarian reviewer. My only dislike is the USB charging port that did not include an adapter for 110V wall receptacle. The sales rep had no clue what I was talking about when I asked if it had a 110V/USB adapter in the box. Since it didn't, I purchased one at a nearby electronics store. February 23, 2016

Rated 4 out of 5 by The product has some good features Good product just can't use in mountainous areas very good on flatlands January 12, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Clear sounds. They worked good. Was about 300 yards away in the mountains couldn't see each other but the sound was clear. The batteries died pretty fast. December 26, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by good pieces of gear! Good pieces of gear- be aware of how you clip them to an external D-ring or radio strap on a jacket. They will come off in heavy brush- but they can be found again!. Also make sure you take time to read through instructions on it before you get in the field there is a bit of stuff there for all of the functions. But good range and good charge time and they held a charge for a while too. November 17, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by This product is good This is a cheaper version of walkie talkie that I normally use but it works really well November 17, 2015
