Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Don't buy you will get better accuracy with a pump gun. Three scopes and 5 different types of pellets later....still can't get good groups at 15 yards. August 21, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great accuracy! After break in time the gun shoots 1" groups at 30 yards with crosman HP 7.9 gr premier pellets, and a replacement center point 4-16 scope. This is my second one, the first one had the scope rail blow off after only about 50 shoots just as I was getting zeroed in! Dicks returned it no problem for me. On my second one I have about 1500 shots through it with no problems. I would recommend changing out the scope the package deal scope would probably be nice if I could adjust the 3-9 past a 5 setting it failed after about 10 shots on my second gun and I added a center point 4-16 which puts this gun up to $300 and a great shooter. The welded scope rail shearing off seems to be a bit of an issue on Benjamin's either you get a good one or you don't. Two guns one scope rail failure and one scope failure! The way the second gun shoots with a center point 4-16 I would still recommend this gun. One major plus on this gun is it has a sling a major plus for anyone taking it into the field. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great gun bad trigger Let me start out by saying I am happy with this gun and would recommend it to others. With that being said the trigger is junk. How someone could make this nice of a gun and put that trigger in it is amazing. Trigger is very heavy and hard to pull. It only took about 10 shots to zero it in and it is shooting 2.5 inch groups at 20 yards even with the junk trigger. I ordered replacement trigger from Charlie DA Tuna and cant wait to get it installed. You will love this gun and hate the trigger. December 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by This is not a toy -- It's a real powerful gun I originally purchased a Gamo Whisper IGT and after 3 frustrating days I returned it as defective and purchased the Steel Eagle. Wow! What a difference. Right out of the box I could tell this was a far superior gun. The construction is excellent and the scope is far superior to the Gamo supplied scope -- made with metal - not plastic. The scope has an adjustment for field of view that is really nice. It didn't take long to zero in the scope. After an hour I was shooting quarter sized groupings of 3 shots at 36-37 yards. It takes a little extra effort to cock the gun as opposed to the Gamo which you'd expect because your getting an extra 100 fps (1400 total). With a little more work I'm sure I can get my groupings down to dime size. I'm extremely impressed with this gun. It's perfect for me. I'm a 72 year old codger and can handle everything very well. Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent gun very accurate with slight modification This is an excellent air rifle , only down fall in the trigger slack but if you are handy it is and easy fix. First remove stock from barrel and action. Next remove C-clip from pin just above trigger. After that remove pin. Next were adjustment screw goes into trigger file down right side even with left side.after that put screw in backwards, from the top down tighten up and reassemble gun. You will find the trigger is slack free and touchy. If trigger is too tuchy just file more out and put screw back in and try some point the safety will work again and the trigger will be perfect.
