Product Information:

Maximize iron performance by playing GMAX Irons. Heat-treated stainless steel club heads feature COR-Eye Technology to generate faster ball speeds through simultaneous activation of the sole, face and top rail. An Elastomer CTP weight connects to the sole and positions the Center of Gravity low and back for added forgiveness. Meticulously crafted head sizes, hosel offsets and sole geometries outfit PING® GMAX Irons with enhanced playability.

  • Yellow Dot Irons feature a 1.5° upright lie angle to accommodate golfers with moderately toe down turf interaction at impact
  • Heat-treated stainless steel club head material creates 40% stronger club faces for unprecedented feel and performance
  • Speed-generating structure creates more face flex at impact for more distance with greater shot-shaping control
  • COR-Eye Technology generates faster ball speeds from the simultaneous activation of the sole, face, and top rail
  • Diving-board-like effect caused by COR-Eye technology generates up to 3 mph faster ball speed than previous PING models
  • Faster ball speed is consistent across the entire face delivering longer, straighter results, even on off-center strikes
  • Progressive head sizes and hosel offsets are engineered to provide added forgiveness and heightened shot trajectory
  • Lengths and lofts are optimized to increase distance with proper gapping for enhanced accuracy and control
  • Longer blade length, increased offset, and wider soles promote higher launch, added forgiveness and greater consistency
  • Elastomer Custom Tuning Point (CTP) connects to the sole to position the Center of Gravity low and back for greater forgiveness
  • Sole geometry features enhanced leading edge, greater trailing edge relief and increase bounce for ideal turf interaction
  • Lighter swing weights in the 4-6 irons helps golfers square the face at impact for added ball speed and straighter results
  • Aluminum cavity badge with shock dampening tape enhances feel and responsiveness
  • Lightweight CFS Distance Steel Shaft promotes a mid-trajectory ball flight
  • Sleek dark satin club head finish adds style and quality

Customer Reviews:

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best clubs ever I have been struggling getting the ball flight high. With these irons not only do they go high (way high!) but they are really easy to hit. I took them out of the box and played 9 holes. Shot a 44 with no more than hybrids and these irons. I heard these went farther and Ping wasn't kidding. I used to hit my 6 iron 150 yards but now it is between 160-165 yards. Had an old set of Big Berthas which I liked but these clubs are so much better. Ball flight is very straight. The pro at my course said that it is hard to "work" the ball left or right with these clubs as they only go straight but I can live with that. One thing I might change is that I got a 5 hybrid as I lost confidence with my old 5 iron. As well as I hit the 6 iron now I think I could have kept the real 5 iron. By the way I do love the 5 hybrid. I had read reviews where people complained about how these irons look. I think they look great. I'm 64 and hitting the ball better than I did ten years ago. Dick's gave me a great deal. Only problem was that it took 3 weeks for the clubs to arrive. Well worth the wait. September 23, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by New Gmax Irons I went from Taylormade Rocketbladez to the Gmax. Tried the new Callaway but liked the Gmax better. "Buzz" from Dick's set me up on the simulator and I hit irons for an hour. Have played with the 3 times so far. Getting used to them. I do like the clubs January 27, 2016
