Rated 3 out of 5 by Good road bike trainer, bad for mountain bikes Purchased this trainer for indoor use on bad weather days. Setup was all of 5 min. Works well with my mountain bike, but it's worth mentioning that the noise from an aggressive tread tire is vary loud. Probably ok with a road bike type tire but changing the rear wheel out is more work and grease than I want on my hands. Also a rear tire and wheel for my bike cost more than an intire intry level road bike. I would only recommend this trainer for a road bike. July 23, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by Very easy to set up I had read different reviews about these trainers and was expecting some difficulty setting it up. I was so surprised. This one was very easy. I did go online to find a youtube video to supplement the instructions, which I found to be vague. Once I did that, it took me less than 10 minutes. I have a mountain bike and do concur with other reviews of these trainers; the tread on the wheel makes this quite loud. The less resistance you adjust, the quieter it is but it always has a loud hum. Some have suggested buying a cheap regular wheel for use with the trainer. I do have another road bike I can use, so I'll be switching. Don't buy the front wheel lift/stabilizer. I used an old dictionary. The whole setup is very sturdy and no wobbling at all.
