Rated 1 out of 5 by Queticogriller Disappointed in product performance I've used grills that look like this for years over open fires in Quetico. They're relatively light-weight and pack well in a Duluth Pack if wrapped in a canvas bag. Over time they all tend to break down, and I needed a new one. I was pleasantly surprised to see this one offered at Dick's since I was having trouble finding a replacement anywhere. Packed it into Quetico on a June '16 trip. First night cooked steaks on it over the fire. Performed well -- nice clean, new surface helped for cooking food directly on the grill. But soon as we put about a gallon pot of water on it to heat for coffee and wash up, the grill sagged severely in the middle, and we had to move our pot to the side where it was supported by the campfire rocks in order to keep the pot from tipping over and leaking onto the fire. Spent a week in Quetico nursing this grill along through every open-fire meal. When I returned from the Quetico trip, this grill went into a dumpster. It may have a purpose, but not for what I needed. Anybody know of a similar open-fire capable grill with more substance to it? Only thing I could find was ridiculously heavy grill at Walmart etc that was way-too-heavy. --Robert July 2, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Camper For the money, really nice Used over a small open fire for a weekend of camping. Held up really nice. The legs are a little flimsy and didn't want to put my heavy cast iron on it, but for $12 great purchase July 1, 2016
