Rated 4 out of 5áby sidetracked Great kayak in this price range This kayak is stable, tracks straight, is "fast enough" and has lots of storage. Many kayaks in this price range do not track straight and have limited features. The seat is comfortable upon adding a foam pad, the deck storage areas are well designed. Every time I have taken it out, I have ended up paddling farther than I planned, because I have been amazed at how easy, smooth and quiet the ride is (no hull slap) It has been a great choice for me as a wildlife photographer as it is a stable platform to shoot from. Being budget, the plastic does scratch easily, and it could use more eyelets along the side for accessories, and it needs a cat bag under the hatch, but the latter two I can add on myself. Unfortunately, the foot wells slope away from the scupper holes, so if you get water in the foot area, it will stay there until you sponge it out or tip the kayak up toward the foot well scupper holes.. I avoid this by keeping the scupper plugs in, and keeping water from dripping into the foot area. I discovered water collecting inside the shaft of my (big box store) paddles, and this was the source of much of the drip. After caulking the area where the paddle shaft meats the plastic and the rivet, the drip problem is gone. I recommend this kayak above the more commonly available budget range kayaks. October 8, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5áby Kytrailhikers Back did not hurt and can haul things! I went to the store for the Pelican Boost which they were out of. I wanted a sit on top because I also like to fish. I was shown this one. They sat it on the floor and it felt a bit awkward and the seat did not feel great. However, I didn't have many choices and was determined to buy that day. When I got out on the water I had to get used to feeling more exposed. I have always used a regular kayak. I wasn't sure if I liked the foot rests, but it wasn't long I mastered that...I am a 5'8" tall female but left leg in foot rest and right leg stretched out made for a comfortable ride. It felt a bit unstable but then decided to rock it myself to see what it would do and just learned my boundaries. One of the plusses was that I could haul more than my husband and son could. If you have a child going with you, this is a plus. I had a cooler and large bag. My 9 year old called it "the supply boat." The fishing rod holders are very nice too. It sailed through the water easily and is a great float or fishing kayak. I don't recommend for surf or even light rapids as it is so open. Anyway, after all my reservations I was quite pleased with it and realized that my back did not hurt AT ALL like other kayaks one I decided to relax and settle into the seat better. I have long arms and bought a 220 paddle. This kayak is slightly heavier and wider so I recommend the 240 paddle. September 25, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby arcee Well worth the money Highly satisfied! Tested in 1" water on river- No problem. Tested kayak in Oxnard CA pier- No problem.good quality for the money. US MADE! On thing i wish they made a better emblem for the "US made" like the sign they made for the boats name in front of boat- aluminun plate.. Tracks good and turns pretty good. Stability- pretty stable on chappy water. other than that good kayak for the price and quality is good as well. September 10, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5áby Yak64 Excellent kayak for the price I bought this kayak three weeks ago took it out for the first time to a large lake, was very pleased with the performance even among jet skis and speed boats. As I am writing this I am on my way back from Gulf of Mexico a three day vacation where I had the greatest time with it in the ocean. The reason it's not 5 stars is the little hatch in the back with the rubber cover is quite useless since it opens into the entire hull where you cannot store anything you don't want to loose in the hull. Would have been nice to have a build in box there. August 30, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Alec Perfect Beginning Fishing Kayak If you are looking for a beginner fishing kayak, look no further. This kayak has exceeded my expectations by far. I am about 5'9" and 130 lbs and this kayak is very very stable. And for a 10 foot kayak it really does track well. The front and rear storage spaces are excellent, and in the back are molded spaces made perfectly to fit a plastic milk crate or a 5 gallon bucket. Above all else, this kayak does exactly what I need it to, which is to get me to the fishing spots that I was not able to reach from the bank. Though it is a great boat stock from the store, it also has many capabilities for modifications, which i plan to do in the near future. The ONLY negative aspect of this kayak to me is the seat, which definitely needs to be replaced by a more comfortable and supportive seat. All in all, the Future Beach Discovery 124 has been excellent to me in every way. I'd definitely recommend this model to anyone looking to get into kayak fishing. August 17, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Mike Love this kayak Bought this kayak for my wife. This is her first kayak and she loves it. Very stable, easy to get in and out of the water by one person. Can be used for fishing as well. Has lots of storage space. Great buy for the money. August 17, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5áby BrettLeB14 Great value This kayak is the perfect kayak for first time kayak anglers. It is a great value especially for its price! It tracks well, it is very stable, and very maneuverable. I have caught some pretty large fish while on it with no issues. I am 6 feet tall and 200 pounds and fit in this kayak with no problem. It is very capable of holding me and all of my fishing gear. When I got my kayak it was missing a screw holding one of the pad eyes, but it was an easy fix. The seat isn't great either, but that is expected in a kayak at this price, and can easily be fixed with some sort of a pad or stadium seat. Overall, this kayak has a few minor inconveniences but for the price is very worth it! August 12, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5áby Thirdeye64 Simple yet in between the basic and the loaded styles! If you are looking for basic but not too plain, this is perfect. July 25, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5áby Waltersobchak Great for the price The best part: all the open space. When fishing it is so nice to have this open space for laying stuff down and pulling fish on board. The back compartment is great. The bungies unhook so you can manipulate them to hold stuff. I don't really use the front compartment but it's obviously nice to have. The flush mount rod holders are great. The leg part is a little confined but it has several foot notches so you can change it up. Down sides: could use more back support and it would be great if it had tie offs drilled into it for an anchor rope. I would also say that I am 5' 6" and I fit perfectly in this kayak so if you're taller, it could be an issue. Overall, great kayak for the price. July 10, 2016
