GOALKEEPER GLOVE SIZING:
- Measure the circumference of your palm just below the knuckles, excluding your thumb. Round up to the next whole inch and add 1 to the measurement. Example: 7.5" -> 8.0" +1" = Size 9
- Measure both hands, and order the bigger size if they are different.
- Goalkeeping gloves should be worn big, generally 1/2"-1" over the end of your fingertips.

However, we had gone through two pairs of inexpensive NIKE gloves (I think they were about $15-$20); the gloves got holes in them very quick (lasted about a month) and had almost no "tackiness" to them. When wet they got even more slippery. Finally broke down and sprung for these Reusch gloves. A huge step up. The fingers are very stiff and give a lot of protection. The gloves also have a lot of padding in the palm. I love them because they protect my son's hands very well. My son loves the performance - even when wet, the gloves have a lot of "tackiness" to grip the ball. The gloves have been very durable and have held up well for a full year. However, the smell is too much to bear so I am buying a new pair. As mentioned on the previous review the gloves are not easy to get into. However, in my experience as a coach two things are true about all goalie gloves: One, kids always need help getting into the glove they are built to fit tight on the wrist and palm; and two, goalie gloves should never, ever be shared. Once a goalie glove gets a little sweat in it, it is impossible to get the next kid into the glove. September 30, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Firestorm12 Poor fit. Nearly impossible to get kids hands into. 10 year olds on the team I coach have to get help from me and force their hand in. Like using both my hands to grab the wrist section and them pushing their hand in with all their might. They have extra room inside once you are able to squeeze your hand past the wrist and palm section of the gloves. I am are going back to get a different brand. April 20, 2016
