Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Easy assembly and set up. Took about 10 minutes to assemble this tree stand and half of that was getting it out of the box and inventorying parts. Went together easily and most importantly all nuts, bolts and other parts were where they were supposed to be. Don't know how many times I've put things together and come up short one bolt or something and had to make a trip to town. The stand was also easy to put up and get secured to the tree. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great little stand I bought this stand to replace a ladder twice the price that got ruined. Two quick changes made this stand a little better. (1) I reversed the foot pad to give more foot space. (2) I tossed away the little string and used a ratchet strap to cinch the center support rod. The stand is light and mobile, which is what we need for bow hunting. There are more stands with greater bells and whistles, but this stand works great for what we need at an affordable price. Rated 4 out of 5 by Worth the price I've purchased a number of these stands and have been generally happy with them. Recently there has been an issue with a few holes that needed drilled out to make everything fit. If you are aware of this ahead of time it's not an issue. These are cheap stands and you can't expect perfection. If not for that, I would give it a 5. October 14, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Simple, Solid and Cheep I have 3 of these stands and for bow hunting they have been far better than stands costing 3 times the money. No folding down rail to get in the way. No extra bolt on parts to squeak and its design also makes it easy to put together. The bare bones of this stand allow you to add you own attachments and a quality pad. The one thing that could use some design improvements is to the lower support bar. It is much better than the type that use a pin to adjust the length, because of its sliding bolt screw, but the plastic knob makes it hard to loosen when it get some rust on the bolt. The other problems is with the attachment point to the ladder and to the tree. The bold and wing nut will never tighten this connection and create a point to catches gear when hauling up the tree. Not sure how to solve this, maybe simple cleaves pin and ring clip. The connection to the tree is another problem that all stands seem to have. Connecting the Y yoke to the tree. This is never solid and over time allows the ladder to make noise when climbing. This connection could be more like the one at the top of the stand with teeth and with a strap to tighten. However the few problems that this stand and others still share. It is by far superior to any out there. I just hope that Dicks keeps making and selling them and that they do not make any unneeded changes. Don't fix what is not broken. Unlike many products today. Rated 4 out of 5 by Good stand for the money I have mixed feelings on this stand and, until I use it more, I'm not really sure of my final opinion. I already have 5 of Dick's Comfort Zone ladder stands that I really like. Four of them are for bow and one for rifle (the rifle ladder stand has rest). These stands seem to be slightly more sturdy than the F&S stand plus they are black, which I prefer. I hate the orange washers on this stand and will spray paint them gray to match the ladder. All of my previous stands had wider ladders and the metal seemed heavier. This stand is somewhat lighter, probably due to the narrower ladder. I'm hoping it's not due to thinner metal like the junk from Sportsman's Guide. I've never liked stands with smaller ladders as they are harder to climb with winter boots... they can be too narrow if you need to get both boots on the same step. This one might work... it's fairly wide. It's late summer/early fall now and I'm wearing light boots so I don't know for sure. I was also disappointed that they didn't include a padded seat with this stand. The strap that wraps around the tree is wider and sturdier that the rope that is usually included. I've only had the chance to hunt from it one time and that seemed OK. As the headline says, it's a good stand for the money but I like my old Dick's stands better. Wish I could still get them. Rated 5 out of 5 by Good value Got this stand for about $60 on sale, seemed a little unstable at first, after installing the tie down straps and ladder brace doesn't budge, very happy with the stability for the price, also came with a full body harness, wouldn't have expected that for the price September 1, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good for the price Stand is stable overall. Not a lot of standing room when up in it August 30, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by REASONABLY PRICED AND SOLID Have 4 of these. Reverse the foot stand to give you a couple extra inches in front of the seat where you need it. Solid and dependable for the price. August 6, 2016
