It is a little bit on the heavy side
Comments about Tippmann A5 Tippmann A-5 Marker:
I have 2 of these. One with response trigger the other with eGrip. They are great great markers. Very heavy in the way that if you drop them, you can't break them. But not too heavy in weight although if you add stuff on like a mag, m16/m4 barrel and a commando stock it might start getting heavy. It's easy to get to know it. their arent too many parts. You can upgrade this alot and get a 30BPS marker or just a small fire marker. I don't see the point in 30BPS. Although it's nice to have, if you are using 30BPS your just spraying for fun. If your using 13-15 bps then that might be enough to get someone who is running.
If i could suggest something... don't get the flatline. Get an apex or a JJ barrel I use a JJ ceramic barrel because out of the box the stock barrel isn't the greatest. Good luck.
Also if your debating weather getting this or the x7... it's the same internal parts. so nothing is going to change in performance. it's really up to the exterior and their are more parts for cheaper for the A5. It's a great marker.

Comments about Tippmann A5 Tippmann A-5 Marker:
I am a paintball sniper, and my base gun is the Tippmann A-5. Right out of the box, it is a good gun. However, you need to upgrade the stock 8" barrel to a 10" or 12" to obtain better accuracy and distance. Also, I would recommend upgrading the internal bolt mechanism to achieve a better air-flow and consistency. On the flip side, however, if you break a paintball in the hopper, it is a royal pain to clean it because you have to get virtually ALL of the paint shells fragments, or else it'll stay in the bottom of the hopper screwing up the rest of your shots. Either way, it is a great gun, especially for beginners. If you're more into paintball, then I would recommend upgrading it in the few areas I mentioned.

When I first had it I took it out to shoot in my backyard and the back part of the gun shot off hitting my mask and the whole gun broke, so I returned it and got a new one, when I went to go play at our paintball fields nearby, and it came off again while I was shooting and luckly not hurt.
Comments about Tippmann A5 Tippmann A-5 Marker:
People say this gun is heavy. Only heavy if you are weak, but it is heaviER than most guns. I was playing woodsball today and there was an 11 year old running around with an A5 and owning. This is a great Gun. awesome gun really. get this gun it wont dissapoint you or let you down. built to last and indestructible.

it is harible
Comments about Tippmann A5 Tippmann A-5 Marker:
I had it for about a year and a half and is my first gun and I like it so much that turned down a trade for an Angel paintball gun. The only thing you have to do is switch out the stock barrel for a new one. It's probably the best woodsball gun on the market. Plus there are alot of mods for the gun out there.

Comments about Tippmann A5 Tippmann A-5 Marker:
It shoots very fast. The velocity screw is kind of confusing.

Great gun. many different look. it is a bit pricey here though. if you go to [...]you can get an A-5A2 which is the same gun with a fore grip and a stock fr [$]. but all around good gun.
Comments about Tippmann A5 Tippmann A-5 Marker:
Good gun. Really great for playing woods ball. Also great for customization I have an auto response trigger in mine and it works wonderfully with the gun.

I rented this gun at an indoor paintball facility and it worked really well even with the fps lowered to 100 for my birthday. It was my birthday, and it was against 98 customs. Worked great when it was one vs one.

This is such a good gun for everyone. Once you buy it you'll never have to get another gun. With all of the products out there that you can add it, it could fit your own style. It is also so easy to maintain, just 60 seconds to field strip it with NO TOOLS. Bottom line, get it, and it will serve you well.

i have had my A-5 for almost year and i love it but the only thing is it uses alot of air beacuse the cyclone feeder is air powered so it uses more air so if you buy it you might want to get a couple of backup tanks in case you run out but over all a great gun

Comments about Tippmann A5 Tippmann A-5 Marker:
I have had my tippmann a5 for 6 months now and love it. I wouldn't recommend buying this gun without upgrading it. i have an A5A2 airthru kit, flatline, 14 in barrel, E-Grip, and i bought an X7 hopper (low profile Recommended). The team i play on has 8 of the 10 of us using A5's (other 2 use 98c). The thing i like better about the a5 than the cyclone is the easy of changing to e-grips and Responce Triggers.

Comments about Tippmann A5 Tippmann A-5 Marker:
Good Marker. The stock barrel has decent accuracy. I bought the 14 inch sniper barrel, improves accuracy but kills the velocity. I would recommend a large 20 plus oz. gas tank. The cyclone firing systems doesnt work when the air pressure decreases eventhough the gun will fire (shoots blanks).

Comments about Tippmann A5 Tippmann A-5 Marker:
This gun owns! The only bad thing about it is that it has a short barrel but you can get a 12 inch, a 14 inch or the flateline barrel for at least another $30.

Comments about Tippmann A5 Tippmann A-5 Marker:
this gun is awesome. It was one of the first guns i used when i started drifting away from speedball markers. The beauty of this is this: when youre playing outdoors, whoever can spray the most paint on the other person is king. There are markers that shoot up to 30 bps! but to do that, you need a very expensive hopper, like a halo B, which runs very high in price. The A-5 has this cyclone feeder, that actually acts like an agitated hopper that works with the trigger, so you never have to worry about your paintballs not keeping up with you. Also, theres this thing called the firestorm crank, that works like the crank on a gaitling gun. So if youre worried about it not being full auto, that thing will make it devastating. About the customization, theres actually a way to form a "gaitling gun" with 2 of these babies by actually connecting them and using the crank, look it up! this gun is amazing, and with all the things you can do with it, you'l never lose interest in it.
the gatling gun style

Comments about Tippmann A5 Tippmann A-5 Marker:
I love the marker and don't plan on buying any other ones but it doesnt stick out like some of the other guns. I don't like the fact that you cant customize it the way you could with a spyder or something else. The stock barrel isn't the most accurate so I added a 14'' Smart Parts Tear Drop to increase it's accuracy. The best part of the gun is the sight so you don't miss your target and the Cyclone Feeder for the ultimate semi-automatic paintball gun!

Comments about Tippmann A5 Tippmann A-5 Marker:
Amazing gun, bought it as my first gun and it hasn't let me down yet. The only problem is the barrel is short so the rounds can't travel a larger distance. Spend a little extra money and get a 12 or 14 inch barrel for better accuracy other than that great gun and easy to customize I installed the e grip my self and it works great.
Comments about Tippmann A5 Tippmann A-5 Marker:
This is a realy great marker. I realy like tippmann markers because they are really easy to get aftermarket parts and upgrades for. (Flatline Barrel, E-Grip, Expansion Chambers, bolts, pins, screws) there are many more. Anyway the A-5 is a very dependable and upgradable marker. I realy enjoy mine, I havent had any chops even with the cheap balls. The cheap balls isnt as accurate tho. Overall the A-5 is great marker.
Comments about Tippmann A5 Tippmann A-5 Marker:

This gun is sick. I just bought it from my brothers friend, it is in great condition and very durable. Spend the extra money on the double trigger. Overall I think this gun is great. Buy it.
Comments about Tippmann A5 Tippmann A-5 Marker:
If you have problems with the single trigger, spend the $ for the double and install it. This is a great gun.

Comments about Tippmann A5 Tippmann A-5 Marker:
Great gun, lots of features, and very easy to expand on. Shoots in almost sniper like precision, but "note" "uses a little bit more gas than regular guns because of the Cyclone Hopper". The little extra gas is not noticeable and I think that the gun is definitely worth the money. This gun is in a league of its own , and I think that it will stay that way. BUY THIS GUN you'll love it!!!!!
