Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I use this cooler for my Nascar races. I typically camp in the infield at Talladega and need something that will get me and my friends through the entire weekend (capacity and temperature). My only problem was the lid hinges broke because a friend leaned his body weight on it. I fixed that by using a nylon tie-down strap to patch the hinges and it works better now than it did before.
