I must admit, I was drawn to this rod and reel combo because of it's looks, but it really is a nice set-up. The rod is matte black with metallic pink wrappings and a metallic pink reel. This is a perfect all-purpose medium action combo that would be well-suited for panfish as well as walleye or bass. My husband even likes it and says he'd take it walleye fishing (after dark of course;)
