I bought this for my 9 yr old son last yr for X-Mas (at 8yrs old he weighed about 75lbs) and it was the smartest gift I've ever given to any kid. It's definitely the best buy/ deal for the money. Get this rather than a skimpy stand-on scooter!! It looks like a motorcycle, although the picture looks a little different than what it really looks like. It's not so Z-shaped, more like a moped or motorcycle. My son goes to his friend's houses and back alot and it comes with a battery that is easy to plug into the scooter and leave overnight as it will not overheat or overcharge. He learned to ride it easily in about an hour-if you can ride a bike, you can ride this. It is so safe, as he makes it go as fast as he's comfortable with and always uses a helmet. It's very durable, too. If the charge runs out when riding it, which is rare, it will still go a little while you scoot with your feet so easily while sitting on it (like a bike). This is easy to do and I wish the manufacturer made one a little bigger for me, though I, myself, can still ride this one. It zips around great and he gets up to about 15mph. I (a mom) can lift it into the back of my small Toyota truck with just a little effort. It weighs about 75lbs, but if you lift at the right places, it's very easy to lift. I can't believe more people don't get this. It is safer than a motorcycle and rides so easily, just turn the throttle a little and you are off and buzzing around. It is not noisy at all and is eco-friendly (no gas needed)! I will have a hard time topping this gift for X-Mas this year!

BAD
Cons:

This is the worst scooter you can possibly get. I purchesed this scooter new, after 3 days the motor died and the chain popped off. We fixed it. after lasting 1 week the chain popped off again! So we bought a new scooter called a schwinn S-500. Oh and if your over 120 lbs. you will go really slow on the razor scooter. WORST RIDE EVER!!
