Used it as a replacement to my old driver that was too flat and inconsistant. Added 40 yards and more fairways instantly. I was using a 3W until I bought this driver and use it as often as I can.

Great Driver. Instantly added 75 yds to my drive. Was using older burner and it is night and day. Used to have a big slice off the tee, this club practically cured it. No longer scared to swing for the fences.

This is the best driver I have ever hit/owned. The last one I owned was the Big Bertha Titanium. I was never consistent with that club, often times slicing pretty bad. I went to Dick's looking to upgrade and was hitting the Callaway X 460 driver on the simulator with much inconsistency. The pro there said that since I have a higher swing speed, I should try something with a mid-tip so the shaft doesn't get distorted as much. I don't know if that's what did it, but immediately when I began hitting the r7, it was extremely consistent and I eliminated the slice. Now I'm bombing it down the middle everytime. And my buddy tried mine out a few times and was sold after the first hit. He just bought his the other day. Bottom line, you will not be disappointed with this driver. Great price, great results. Get it!

This is a great driver. I upgraded and originally bought the Nike SUMO2 but didn't like it. I found a sucker to give me my money back for the Nike and went back and got the TaylorMade. This club is long and forgiving. It has a giant sweet spot that I haven't missed yet. I am hitting it on average about 30 yards further off the tee with this club. This club is also very straight and in the middle of the fairway for me. I can actually draw the ball a little with this club which I couldn't do before. They say you can't buy a game but I definetely improved overnight with this driver. This club is deadly accurate and at the Dick's price of two bills is a steal. Don't buy a driver without atleast hitting this one.

This combo Driver/5 Wood lowered my hncp. 4 strokes in 13 rounds. Unbeatable, all the clubs I have bought over the years have never had the effect on my game as the combo has. Taylormade, keep up the good work!

I just started using this club about 2 months ago. I've played three rounds with it and haven't had any complaint yet. Most people who have hit with my club have said that it gave them longer distance off the tee but I don't. On average I am hitting the ball between 290 and 330 yards in the air. I've hit these both with my R7 and with a clone Calloway Big Bertha from Pinemeadow Golf. The only upside to this club is that I can either weigh it to the ball with a power fade (my natual shot) or straight down the gut. The draw weighing aspect doesn't help me draw the ball but hit a slight fade.

Club has added 30-50 yds to my drives. Very forgiving, it is the easiest wood to hit in my bag now. I always used to tee off with a 3 wood because I had no confidence in my driver. This is no longer true. It has changed my game to the point that I now am using much shorter irons for my approach shots. Now if I could only putt...

More of the same
By Tom from Minneapolis MN on 7/9/2007
Pros:
Lightweight
Cons:
No head cover
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The driver is fine and equals the other big drivers, however it did not come with instructions or tools to set the draw, and no head cover. For [$]? I was informed by customer service that I would have to call Taylormade and request the tool and instructions, and that it didn't come with a cover.

By jason from runnemede on 5/13/2007

I never really used drivers before. Everything I hit off the tee was done by my 3 iron and I would hit that far. I wanted to find a club that had a big sweetspot and dicks told me this was the club. Wth my first drive off the ball I hit it 290. After that it just kept getting better. Straight fairway hits almost all of the time. Longest drive with the club to date is 315 yards. Now I'm looking into getting rid of my callaway irons for taylormade irons.

By Tha Toebbster from OH on 5/10/2007

This is with out a doubt the single best thing that Taylor Made has ever released. Before I bought this driver, I was spraying the ball left and right, about 220 yds. But now, I hit the ball dead center off the fairway 8 out of ten times, and around 280-290 yds... Keep up the good work Taylor Made!!!

By Chase from York, PA on 3/24/2007

This driver is amazing! I am 14 years old and I crush the ball around 260 yards each time with this driver. The Taylor Made R7 460 is the best driver I have ever hit. I never really had a slice or hook but it is still an amazing driver!!

By Chris C from Northeast PA on 12/8/2006
Pros:
Comfortable

This is a top performing driver. I have had the opportunity to test many new drivers both outdoors and on a simulator, and the TM R7 460 is a stand out. The club is very forgiving and the shaft compliments the head very well. Also, considering the very light weight of the shaft, control is still very good.

By Chad E from Maryland on 9/24/2006
Pros:
Comfortable

I bought this driver to improve my existing one and not only is it really light, but for me it makes almost all my drives go at least 50 yards farther. Before I had quite a lot of slice, but after adjusting the weights which is very easy, my slice was cured. It also makes an explosive sound. I would highly recommend this driver for any player.

By Tony M. M from Wisconsin on 8/5/2006
Pros:
Comfortable

Actually give the club a 4.5. It has great explosion, awesome shaft. Grip is kinda tight, but the moveable weight makes it special. Although, there is not a huge result if you have major hooks or slices, so don't think it alone will change your game.
