California Transparency in Supply Chains Act
As required under the California Transparency Supply Chain Act, Dick's Sporting Goods ("Dick's") is disclosing its efforts to mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking in our supply chain.
Dick's, through its own associates and third parties, assesses its direct supply chain for risks, including slavery and human trafficking.
Suppliers of Dick's private label products must comply with the company's code of conduct which prohibits suppliers from using forced labor, whether in the form of prison labor, indentured labor, bonded labor or otherwise. In addition, suppliers certify that they are in compliance with the laws in the countries where the suppliers operate.
Dick's, through its own associates and third party audit companies, conducts announced audits of these suppliers with regard to compliance with the company's code of conduct and local laws, including the prohibition on slavery and human trafficking. Suppliers who are in violation of the company's code of conduct and local law are subject to corrective action plans or termination.
Dick's trains its associates who have responsibility for its direct supply chain on the company's code of conduct, including the prohibition on slavery and human trafficking and ways to mitigate this risk. Associates who have responsibility for managing the company’s suppliers and compliance policies are held accountable for the execution of the policies and may be subject to consequences up to and including termination for lack of compliance.
