I use these for bike packing on any bike where I put some sort of bladder in a frame bag. I tape the receiving end to the handlebars or aerobars. These are far superior than any other magnetic clips I 've ever tried, where the hose inevitability becomes loose and starts flopping around. With the camelbak design it's super easy to release and to clip back on and I 've never had it accidentally come off. Great product!

These do wear out with heavy usage and have to be replaced once they start the mysterious slow leak, in which water escapes into the backpack with no discernible source. I work as a ski instructor at local ski hill. I 've been using the Camelbak Bootlegger pack 4 days a week for a couple of seasons. Occasionally, on really cold days, water may freeze in the bite valve, but have n't had a problem with getting it flowing again. Water has never frozen in insulated tube. Good product!

I bought this vest just before a trail ultra race. From the moment I tried the vest on I knew it was a winner. Very lightweight and the location of the soft bottles was perfect for me. Enough pockets to carry the gear I needed for quick access. The bottles have a lock to avoid unwanted spills. I left the bottle in the pouch for drinking. I 'm not a fan of the straws so I stuck with the original tops. I retired a hip belt. I had too much bounce with full bottles. In summary you 'll enjoy the lightweight and quick access to gear. The bottle location and quick access were key to the design for me. I would absolutely recommend getting this vest.

I was looking for a lightweight hyrdation pack to use while cycling. This rig meets all of my requirements except for one... the process of getting rid of the plastic smell and taste of a new unit. Seems like Camelback could develop a consumer product or provide specific guidance on how to resolve this issue. I found several YouTube videos offering advice but none have worked completely yet. Otherwise, I am very pleased with the product.

I 've been purchasing Camelbak packs going on 16 years and now have at least one designated to each activity I do; running, MTB, Cycling, Hiking, and working outside. I would say I still love the fit and durability of each different style I have( the one I use for working outside is the first Rogue I purchased in 2008), and I 'm really happy Camelbak finally upgraded the bite valve design, but the added magnetic clip placement still needs a more permanent home to affix to on the shoulder strap or chest strap, or something. When the only place to affix it to is somewhere along the adjustable side of the chest strap it's just never in a constant place to mindlessly clip it back in. Otherwise, I 'm still a loyal and satisfied user.

Such a good bag, 100 oz of water is 4x my large yeti and the bag still has so much room I fit in an additional shoulder bag, snacks, some accessories and some green, and still had the half of the largest pouch not taken up by the water pouch. Bag is comfortable and stylish. Reservoir for water is incredibly well thought out and comes apart easily and in enough places that making sure the pack is dry after use is a breeze. Nice quality straps, small footprint and breathable materials means your back isn ’ t burning up. The backpack has a lot of nice features( sunglass pouch, key ring, and several side pockets) I especially liked the magnetic clip for the straw. I also used the helmet clips to hold my helmet when not in use. The only thing I think it was missing was a cover for the whole thing just in case it started to rain while you ’ re on a ride.
