My son was 10 when he got this set and now he is 11, 5 foot tall and 95 lbs. The youth size fits him perfectly, even last year. He has used the same set for 2 years( 4 seasons) plus practices and it's help up perfectly. I highly recommend. Buyers should know if you want a throat guard you will need one with laces that ties to the lower part of the cage. Rawlings makes a great one with nice leather straps that has also held up well.

I have had trouble in the past with other big brands as of Easton with my knees hurting from the lack of support in the leg guards, but I have never had that problem with this set. The helmet rarely come unattached from the back piece and the shoulder pads are adjustable and removable.

My son had the AllStar Axis 7( adult) system for a couple of years and loved it. We chose this set to replace the Axis because I liked the things we read about the helmet. Turns out the my son likes this whole set better. The legs were the hardest part to get used to because they are so different; but, after his first game he said they were awesome and he is glad we got this set.
