My positive review is directly for the shoes themselves. This is the first time wearing Ryka and I ’ m so glad I gave them a try. Love the color, the fit, the light weight, the cushioning, everything. My not so positive comment of this review is for Dick ’s online. The soles of the Rykas I received were dirty and the right shoe toe was creased, obvious signs of wear. It would have been nice if that information was made known online before purchase and the price discounted giving the customer a choice. I returned them to my local Dick ’s pointing out the usage as my reason for returning. The clerk was polite but could only me a$ 20 coupon after spending$ 100. I ended up finding the same shoes elsewhere and at a lower price.

I ordered the Merrell for the first time in years. I usually need a wide shoe but occasionally can get by with ordering a 1/2 size up in a regular width. The trouble is knowing whether I was going to be an 8. 5 or a 9 in the Merrell shoe. This 9 Merrell still fits a bit too snug for me. I also got the same pair in black in the 9 Wide and it turns out the Wide shoe will become my everyday shoe and this one will be pulled out when I need a lighter color. Very comfortable once you find the right size for yourself.

I have problem feet and have for years. Basically I ’ m flat footed and have bunions on both feet. Shoes with too high of an arch built in cut into my foot and throw my foot off to the opposite side of the shoe. I started using Merrills like these years ago as `` heavy duty '' slippers or house shoes. Because of back problems my doctor said that I should no longer go barefoot or just wear socks when I am at home at leisure. Also I should find footwear that offers support and cushion as I worked from home on the phone and paced on a hard tile floor. Also since these shoes do not have deep treads on the bottom they are easily cleaned if I do briefly wear them outside to bring in groceries or get the mail or the newspaper. I do not wear them out into the world keeping them clean for housewear. I have found that they are super long- lasting and can be repurposed after a time as yard shoes for working outside. Then it is time for a new pair.

The Hoka One One men's Bondi Sr shoe is my second pair of Hoka One One men's shoes, first recommended by my orthopedist. This recent purchase gives me two pair of Hokas so I do not need to wear the same pair two days in a row. They are supportive and very comfortable. Hoka One One has moved forward over the past several years from the downright ugly shoes I first purchased to today's styles. The down side to the shoes is that they are borderline clown shoes-- big in the forward( toe) section, not svelte.
