I do n't think the other reviewers played this golf ball because it is an excellent overall ball. I have a ball speed between 150 to 165 mph and this ball is 3 to 5 yards longer than my current ProV1. The ball tracks true in head and side winds and has an excellent, high flight that I love. Around the greens the ball checks easily on really short chips but also stops with a yard or two of roll out when I attack the pin. The feel is outstanding from tee to green. I think people are reacting to a price point without ever playing the ball. If you care about improving your game buying good equipment is an investment, not a cost. Dropping strokes off my scorecard is important to me and the LA Golf Ball helped me do that. I think it is worth every penny.

Maxfli Tour X is a excellent ball in all metrics. Very good feel around the greens, distance, spin rates, durability, trajectories, etc. At first I was concerned that the Tour X might have been too firm of a ball, but after using it, it is great for my swing speed. I recently purchased the Callaway Chrome Soft golf balls from Golf Galaxy, and I ’ ve really enjoyed playing with them. The feel of these balls is amazing, especially around the greens, where they provide excellent feedback and control. They also feel great off the putter, which is a big plus for me. While I didn ’ t notice significant improvements in distance compared to other golf balls I ’ ve used, the Chrome Soft delivers on its promise of low spin and consistent performance. It ’s comparable to the TaylorMade Tour Response in terms of feel, but I felt the Chrome Soft had slightly lower spin and equally solid driving distance.

I 'm a 10 index so nothing special, but I have good days where I look like I can play a little bit, and I 'm a bit of a ball snob- I only play with the premium brands. I was mostly Titleist( Pro V) for a long time, but gave Chrome Soft a try several years ago and really liked them, so I was bouncing back and forth for the last couple of years, but for some reason committed to Chrome Soft this year and I 'm really digging it. I really like the feel off the clubface in all aspects, I get great spin on the greens and these seem to give me more distance than I get with other brands. It really fits everything I 'm looking for, and all I know is my best scores in the past few years have come playing this ball, so I 'm gon na stick with it. Obviously the price is steep, so if you have a round where you get loose and lose a few, it hurts the pocketbook. The good news is, if you put good swings on them, they perform like crazy!
