[ I have a few different styles of platypus and this one is now in my mountain biking bag. I like the clip that keeps it on my pack. It has a sturdy hanger.

I have had my Platypus Hoser for more than 15 years now and it still works great. It's the two liter version, very similar to this one. No complaints ever, easy to clean, light weight, and very durable. My version even has `` patent pending '' still on it. And a logo with a Platypus illustration, which I love! Thanks@ Platypus for all these years of joyful and well- hydrated hiking and biking thanks to the Hoser:)

Trying to get back to consistent running and going longer distances. I previously had another brand ’s vest that I only used collapsible water bottles in the front pockets and never used a bladder. Always had comfort issues with it though and overall felt like I could never it to fit comfortably. For this vest though, I have run three 10 mile+ runs and find this one very comfortable. I was easily able to adjust this to fit correctly. I find the bladder easy to use and has been good to use with Tailwind Nutrition as my fuel of choice. I like the available storage as well and enjoy having a space for my phone. There is also so much more storage that I could utilize and have barely scratched the surface of. I did carry sunglasses with me on a run and was nice to have them with me even though I didn ’ t ultimately use them. Definitely happy with this purchase and look forward to more long runs with it.

[ Bought this to replace a leaky bladder in my running pack made by another company. It does not leak! The zipper feature is nice; it clicks once it's fully closed. There is some structure so you can open the bladder with one hand, which makes filling it easier. It barely fits inside my pack, but it fits, phew.

These do wear out with heavy usage and have to be replaced once they start the mysterious slow leak, in which water escapes into the backpack with no discernible source. I 'm glad to see the straw redesign because the plastic bent on the last one, which I did n't like. However, they 're great for hiking hydration in a light pack that keeps my hands free. Just purchased for the third time!

[ Thanks and yes the bladder is just as described. The baffles inside keeps it quiet while walking/hiking out and about. This version of the bladder is awesome. The only downfall is that it is difficult to insert the inner fit collapsible device to air dry it after cleaning

[ This is an outstanding hydration option for an Osprey pack. I have a number of packs in different sizes with various bladder sizes. I can mix and match the packs and bladders as needed for the outing. I consider them a good value and will continue to stick Osprey gear.

When selecting a hydration bladder for running, consider features such as capacity, weight, and ease of use. A bladder with a capacity of 1.5 to 3 liters is typically sufficient for most runs, while lightweight materials can enhance comfort. Additionally, look for bladders with a wide opening for easy filling and cleaning, as well as a bite valve for convenient drinking on the go.
Choosing the right size hydration bladder depends on the duration of your runs and your hydration needs. For shorter runs, a smaller bladder may suffice, while longer distances may require a larger capacity to ensure you stay hydrated. It's also important to consider the fit of the bladder within your running gear to ensure comfort and stability.
Hydration bladders for running are typically made from durable, lightweight materials such as polyethylene or TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane). These materials are designed to be flexible and resistant to leaks, while also being easy to clean. Additionally, some bladders may feature antimicrobial properties to prevent the growth of bacteria.
Yes, hydration bladders are versatile and can be used for various activities beyond running, such as hiking, biking, or even during outdoor sports. Their design allows for hands-free hydration, making them suitable for any activity where staying hydrated is essential. Just ensure that the bladder's capacity and fit meet the requirements of your specific activity.
Hydration bladders offer several advantages over traditional water bottles for running, including hands-free access to water and a lower center of gravity, which can enhance stability. They also allow for a more streamlined carrying option, reducing bulk. However, some runners may prefer the simplicity and ease of use of water bottles, especially for shorter distances.
To maintain your hydration bladder, it's important to clean it regularly to prevent mold and bacteria buildup. Most bladders can be easily cleaned with warm water and mild soap, and some are even dishwasher safe. Additionally, ensure that the bladder is completely dry before storing it to avoid any moisture-related issues.
