I 've owned a lot of jackets over the years. Helly Hansen, Eddie Bauer, Spyder, Khul, Mammut, etc. This is by far the warmest jacket I 've ever owned. Even at 30- 35 degrees( F) I sometimes find myself unzipping it as it is too much insulation. I 've worn it out to about 5 degrees with only a light sweater under it and was not even slightly cold. There are more technical jackets out there if you 're looking for backcountry skiing stuff but if you 're just looking for something to keep you warm around town, winter hiking, or sledding with your kids, you ca n't beat this. Also looks great and super comfortable.

Love this jacket. Bought the medium but unfortunately due to the mid- life spread it was too tight around the mid drift, so that one to a friend. Bought another in large, fits like a glove and both of us have gotten some good wear out of these already. An absolute perfect jacket, I would love to see Fjallraven make this a full winter jacket with extra insulation similar to the Nuuk Parka, then it would be an absolute beast of a jacket.

This jacket was bought gor me as a gift about a month ago and I think I 've worn it every day since, through November into December, in a wet and Stormy Wales. The medium fits my 5'11 '' frame perfectly. Warmth is n't an issue. I 've worn the jacket with only a t shirt beneath, in windy, freezing temps, with no issue at all. Lots of handy pockets and a hood that works best with a hat worn beneath. Regarding rain. I 'm not going to wear the jacket for prolonged rain. But for showers or drizzle my unwaxed jacket works just fine. For the time being I 'm not going to wax it, as I like the way the jacket looks and I do n't want to change that. So a superb jacket for cold, windy, damp days. I love it.

I like the jacket for downhill( lift) skiing at Whistler/Blackcomb:- The hood covers the entire helmet and stays up. I like to ski with my hood up when it's a bit cold.- The big, wide collar to zips up to cover most of my face even when wearing a thick face covering.- It has appropriate insulation. You need extra layers underneath when it's cold but it should be quite wearable for spring skiing with just a shirt on underneath.- Pockets are where they should be and the right size. Some suggestions for improvement:- There is no place to attach a whistle which would be close to the mouth. The zipper pulls where I would normally attach a whistle are solid and not useful for that purpose. This is quite important when skiing a big mountain resort like Whistler/Blackcomb. There really needs to be a place to attach a whistle near the mouth. I may get a little loop sown in some place on the jacket.- The inside chest zipper pocket should be on the inside of the insulation rather than the outside. This would keep the phone and other electronics warmer.- It would be nice if the collar was just a bit higher, maybe by a centimeter or so. Not a big deal. Overall I am very happy with the jacket so far.

I couldn ’ t be any happier with this jacket. I love that it ’s not heavy, bulky or stiff. The lining is just enough to keep you warm with out making you too hot when in your car or while shopping. If you ’ re an outdoor enthusiast where you ’ ll be out for an extended time in- 0 temps, I ’ d look for a different jacket. This one is stylish and plenty warm for short times out in mild winter weather. I normally wear a large in clothing but typically size up in coats so I bought an XL. It fits perfect and I didn ’ t have the sleeve length issue as I saw in other reviews.( Just a note; Id say my arms are normal in length). I bought this jacket to wear for skiing but have been wearing it at other times also. It is warm and I love the fur hood. I do wish that there were thumb holes in the inner sleeves and maybe another pocket inside the jacket on the other side( there is one on the left side) to stick tissues, money, etc. but it's a great jacket and very comfy. I bought a size up so I can layer underneath.
