I just spent 3 weeks in the Bahamas with this sandal. It performed exceptionally well. I spent time at Atlantis water park, went on 4 fishing charter, scrambled on very jagged limestone reef, walked miles around Nassau, etc The sole is very sticky, even when wet. The sole is also very tough. I hiked on some very nasty, sharp, pointy, jagged limestone reef with no issues. I was very impressed with how well these performed.

Extremely comfortable, short break in time. When I bought these they fit almost snug, but after a couple months I started to notice my shoe was getting wider to the point where I could shift my foot around too much. The footbed has sunk. So after a year of still trying to wear these out they still have the same durability they had since new. I can take several mile hikes in these and they are still comfortable. So my complaints. They do not grip well in creek, river rock beds. I have to wash them constantly, like every other time I wear them because they burn my feet? I don ’ t know how to explain it but I ’ m sure it ’s from sweating. Buuuuut as a long time sandal wearer, I ’ ve never experienced this sensation. So I think they could be lighter. They are sandals after all. We wear sandals because we want to wear next to nothing. For this price I would expect a lighter sandal. Actually ALL KEENS could be lighter. First things first, you will want to go up half a size. I have heard this many times snd it is true. I am a size 7 1/2 exactly and the 8 fits like a glove. The width is perfect for me and the comfort is amazing. Great with shorts or jeans, and perfect if you have to get your feet wet to “ retrieve ” your retriever. Also a great deck shoe on the boat. Bought these for a trip down the Colorado river in the Grand Canton. The shoes were great for 6 days in the raft as well as river/creek walking and day hikes over serious rocks. These are more comfortable than my other pair of Volv chacos due to the thicker straps on the mega cloud. The buckle strap will loosen on me but it the sandals stay tight enough though the toes and arch that they still feel secure. One thing that was odd to me is these came with a plastic buckle instead of the metal one that was advertised. However this is n't a deal breaker to me. Just something to note.

I wear a 9. 5 and always buy a 10 in Keen shoes. Also, my foot is narrow, and they fit me perfect. The first pair lasted about 4 years and I 'm not too hard on shoes. Awesome! Got these looking for more arch support in a sandal and hoping to wear them hiking. Just wore them for 6+ miles of backpacking with no issue, super comfortable! Only thing I 'd change is the ability to tighten the straps more, I have relatively narrow feet and tightening them all the way does n't quite do it.( Not a deal breaker though) I sized down a half size and was able to comfortably hike in them while wearing 2 pairs of wool socks.

[ I bought these last month on recommendation from my daughter and her boyfriend. I ’ ve had some water shoes for the beach- the kind with straps all over. Though I have had them for a few years, all of a sudden they decided to give me blisters. I ’ ve never had flip flops because they always look like you are walking around on a chunk of foam, are flat as a pancake and super uncomfortable. These Hokua sandals feel like wearing tennis shoes, with arch support, but are light weight and cool on your feet. The black leather looks great! Like flip flops for an adult!

[ I love the quality of the flip flops. They are super comfortable and are very appealing to the eyeballs! They say the soles are laser cut for better traction and I understand what they mean. They are super grippy. The only negative I would have to say is they are a bit pricey but, as anything else, you get what you pay for and with these you are getting a very high quality product that I feel will last many years.
