After experiencing heel pain similar to a time where I had plantar fasciitis I immediately scheduled time with a doctor at Twin Cities Orthopedics. He found that while I did not have plantar fasciitis I needed to strengthen my foot muscles& use an insole that would provide better arch support. I 've been using Superfeet insoles for decades. In ski boots, hiking boots, running shoes, etc. After trying other brands, I 've always come back to Superfeet, with the exception of Sole Performance re- corked medium insoles, but even that's a toss up. Once trimmed, the Superfeet feel good from the start and continue to serve me well for quite some time. I use them for walking distances, standing on my feet all day at work and light hikes. I have other versions of Superfeet, some discontinued, some not, but the winner( for me) is the Superfeet Run Cushion Medium Arch. I use them in Clark's, Adidas and Hoka trail and running shoes. The family was getting ready for a 2 week trip to Europe. I told them we would be walking 100 miles in 2 weeks, and would need to find great walking shoes. We all purchased the white 1080 Fresh Foam with these arch inserts. We looked a bit like the Griswolds with matching shoes throughout Europe, but we all had comfy feet. I absolutely love these boots, so much so I have purchased 3 pairs. When I worn out my first pair of these boots, I went to order another pair and Carhartt was out of stock and did not have an availability date at that time. I have a wide foot and this boot is available in a wide size. This does not require any break in period. So when I saw that Carhartt brought back this boot in my size I bought 2 pairs.

Super comfortable boots! This is the first pair of boots I 've owned in a long time and I 'm so pleased with them. Comfortable right out of the box, fit like a dream( 8. 5). 3 weeks in Scotland walking in cities and country parks and my feet stayed dry, warm, and comfortable. I bought a second pair and they did n't fit as perfectly and had some scratches on the leather. I sent them back, re- ordered and the second pair was perfect. I highly recommend these boots for work or casual wear.
