The boot is fairly lightweight and rugged. Very simple boot without much to it. Fits true to size and is able to lace up securely. Not as stiff as most other wading boots. I like that it has the metal rivets along the eyelights for the laces. These boots appear as if they were made to last. I would recommend this boot to others. It was a tad bulkier than what it appears in the picture, but not excessively so. Fits well with a lot of good support. Easy to walk in for a long day of fishing.

I give these 5 stars as I have put somewhere around 300 days or more fishing my first pair of these and have put 20 or so on a second because the sole cracked on the first. I fish the Rio Grande in New Mexico several days a year crawling on the volcanic rock, boulders, cactus, sage and they have held up to it. I have tortured these boots and they held as long as any other guides much more expensive boots. I only wish I could get them with about a 3rd the volume as I have a size 13 B foot and have to fill lots of space with wading socks. Even still I bought a second pair.

I have no intention of using these boots for riding or cleaning stalls. I will use them for Winter Walk and forays in the forests and beaches shooting( photography) wildlife. I took them out for our first snowfall walk. They are comfortable and warn. It was 20 degrees and I wore only a dress weight alpaca sock. My feet were never cold. There was plenty room for me to wear a heavier weight sock. I did encounter some wet spots along the marsh and my feet were totally dry. I will note that these boots do not have lug soles, so they were slick walking up snow covered steep slopes. This is not a knock on these boots for me. I have Yaktrax Diamond grips and Kahtoola Micro Spikes- both fit over these beefier boot. I love the ease of slipping into with the optional pull tabs( which I didn ’ t need to use.). The last pair of “ rubber boots ” I owned were snug to pull on. The liner is great. I ’ m sure these will be what the doctor ordered for my Winter Adventures. I wear 10. 5 Wide typically. The 11 and Medium width were perfect.

I received my boots 6- weeks ago and have worn them a dozen times building mountain bike trails in Northern California. The boots are very comfortable, have great traction and warm in cool weather. What I like best about the boots is that I am sure footed when working on steep grades, in mud, and in thick bushes. Plus having to hike in to get to a trail section may be over a mile which is no problem with these boots, just a joy splashing through rivers, muck, you name it.

I have owned these boots for over 1- 1/2 years now with no issues. I oil them every quarter to help with the wear and tear and to keep them soft. I keep them on a boot dryer at night to keep them dry. I work in the Dairy industry and walk through manure and chemicals, it is a very wet environment. I have gone through Red Wings and other carhartt boots that only last 6- 8 months. In short, thee boots are worth every penny. Wish I could get a pair with more insulation though.

Playing in the mud
So far so good! They were a little uncomfortable at first but after a week there are comfy. I wish the tongue was attached a like higher up the boot so you can stand in deeper water but other than that they work flawlessly! I ’ m a well driller and good boys are hard to find that hold up to the constant mud and water every day. George boots hold up better than anything I ’ ve slipped my foot in!

I bought these boots over a year ago. So far they have been pretty good. I work as a full time diesel technician and occasionally have to do landscaping and construction work and these boots have held up pretty well to everything I do. The oil, diesel, break cleaner, etc have not hurt the leather nor the stitches at all. I will say I am disappointed in the insoles, being that they only lasted me about 4 months. I have had to replace the insoles quite often but mainly because I do weigh about 255 lbs and have a very wide foot. Also the hook eyelet on my left boot broke after about 6 months as well. The water proof feature has been great even for being a lace up boot. I ’ ve been I some fairly deep water( nearly covering up the entire boot) and haven ’ t had any water go into these boots or the leather. All in all these boots have been a strong and sturdy boot for what I need them for. I ’ m on my second Canadian winter with these. Very warm, very comfortable. They ’ re tall, almost up to my knee, and fit snug around my leg( though not “ tight ”) so as not to have huge gaps where snow can get in. The Vibram Ice sole works — good traction on slippery surfaces. Note, however, these boots are not light, nor are they flexible like cheap boots — there ’ ll be no trips strolling in the mall with these. These are serious boots for serious cold.

They came in looking very aesthetically- pleasing( for steel- toe boots, IMO) and have held up rather well, even though he does n't wear them at work everyday but considering he seems to always be singeing and catching fire to the bottom half of his work pants and/or shoes while on the job. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who's tired of having to constantly replace burnt laces on work boots/shoes... give these bad, and good- looking, boys a try!

They have held up to the wear and tear and are still as waterproof and as comfortable as the day I first bought them. I apply mink oil on them occasionally. I plan on buying a second pair soon. Very easy to slip on and secure once on your foot. This can be difficult to achieve with a slip- on boot, but these nail it. The rubber material is completely waterproof, and the bottom tread is excellent on icy surfaces. If you live in a cold, coastal area( Maine, Alaska, Nova Scotia, etc) these will be a lifesaver in the winter months. I wear these shoes to work every day and everywhere. Tough as nails and looks great even beat up. I never complain about foot pain anymore with these. The soles are so tough and the wear is minimal. The leather does wear out after a while meaning a looser fit but the hide hold up. I 'm on my 3 or 4th pair.

So I ’ ve got to be honest.. I really wanted to buy the new waders from First Lite. So much so that I sold the G3 Guides I had worn for several years. They were stocking foots, and for my purposes, boot foot would ’ ve been a better move. But I loved them- they ’ re incredible waders made here in the USA. And I wore the heck out of ‘ em. When First Lite announced that they were delaying their wader launch for another season, I went back to what I knew( Simms), saw this new model, and figured I would give it a try. First impressions: outstanding quality as always, the boot fits snug to the heel, and the zipper is a total game changer. I can ’ t help but think they made these with hunters in mind, given the color and specs( zip+boot foot+webbing on the front). The color is very similar to the Sitka Delta waders in their solid earth tone. Even if First Lite drops something truly revolutionary on their wader next year, I plan on keeping these forever.. a truly excellent product from Simms as always. Note- I normally wear a 9. 5 in shoes, and ordered the 10 Reg in these. Fits perfect so far!

Fit and finish are everything you 'd expect from Simms. Ease of movement even when bending down and squatting is huge. Nothing feels like it is going to rip or break. Using theses to mostly hunt in pairing them with a good leg gaiter to protect the neoprene on the boots should only make them better. I really hope they drop this color combo or similar in a stocking foot in the future. I wish they would have used a OD green boot on these. Boots are super comfortable out of the box and fit true to size. Went with theses over Sitkas deltas, nice to see Simms tapping into the hunting scene a little more. Bring on more solid dark colors and combos! Ill never own a pair of non zip waders again, total game changer!
