After searching through local sports stores, at the rink, big box stores and websites, we finally chose the Chicago boys rink skates for our 4 and 1/2 year old grandson. They are easy to get on and off, support his ankles, and glide smoothly around the basement floor. They are also suited for the indoor roller rink, which he will be going to soon for a party. He uses them to play roller hockey. Although the shoe is a vinyl, it looks and feels almost like leather-- too bad they still are n't made with leather. We purchased them two sizes bigger than he wears for growth. He wears long sports socks over his regular socks, and that works fine. I would recommend these skates over others that we found at big box stores.

I choose this skate because I am not a white shoe fan and wanted to the black ones. So for women if you choose this skate and have a wide foot I would buy in the size you are. I am a size 7 1/2 and purchased a size 7 men's. These feel and fit great even with thick socks on. Use the charts given as a guide. However, I purchase a different Chicago skate in a size 6 and could n't get it on my foot so the various types of skates matter when selecting a size for a woman. I am glad I ordered these from Dick's the last pair cost me to have them shipped and to ship them back, just beware. These also were sent to me within 24 hours after ordering and I had them within 8 days. I really did like that.

[ This is a good starter board although at 31 '' might be bigger than some starter skaters will need. The colorful Big Air graphic on the underside of the board is an automatic plus for our youngsters from the get go. What about the board's other qualities? The wood board itself is a good and standard quality. The topside offers decent grip. The trucks are hard plastic rather than metal but give no indication they wo n't last under normal usage. The wheels are functional but do n't appear to have ball bearings in them which has no negative impact now but might over time. The underside graphic is a sticker rather than painted on the wood. It is starting to peel a little from initial usage at the edge of where it is attached to the wooden board itself. Not a disaster. It has not made any difference to the board working properly. So this board will serve its purpose of getting a skater going and is a popular activity already.

I got a very very bad first roller skate as my first ever one. When I switched it with the RB Cruiser 4x80. Man..... The roller skate rolls by itself. Ahahaha almost! Comfortable as a Feather! And fast enough. I 'll upgrade it with ILQ9 bearings and Undercover cosmic lime wheels. I 'm looking forward to get my second rollerblade, but I 'm unsure which model will fit my feet better. I was looking into the Twister 3x110.... But heard it was a bit narrow. So, I got afraid. I wanted to try the same feel and fit of the cruiser, but more confort and a better fit. They are very sturdy, comfortable and fantastic quality. The only cons I ’ ve come across are that they ’ re not very agile and feel a little clunky and heavy. I wish they were made with two wheels instead of three. Wanted to get into inline skating as a low impact exercise. Was in my teens last time I did. Running is too hard on the knees. These are great for the price. The wheels are HUGE and great for outdoor skating. I would n't recommend for beginners. Get smaller wheels if you 're just learning. Only downside so far is the straps tend to not stay tight. They loosen very easily. I 'm 6' 6 with 13 size shoe. These are true to size. Wearing these 195mm wheels and I 'm over 7' tall which is a long way to fall. Make sure you get safety gear as these have no brake.
