This is my first pair of proper running shoes and I love them so far! Used to run in some old Asics I got on clearance, but now that I ’ m getting into running more consistently I bought these. I have very flat feet and collapsed arches, and these were recommended for me because of their supportive centre path tech. The first 5k i ran in these I got nasty blisters on the insides of the my feet where my arch was being held up. If this is the case for you, don ’ t give up on these shoes yet. I wish I had broken them in more slowly but they are super comfortable now. Ran my first 10K in these shoes, something I never thought I ’ d be able to do after having some pretty nasty shin splints and knee pain from playing soccer my whole life. No shoe will ever be as good as the Gel- Cumulus 23, but I am very pleased with the GC- 27. Mile after mile of spongy comfort, excellent lateral support, great energy return. [ The shoes are form fitted to the foot and have a nice snug feel without being too tight on my feet to limit the amount of hours they are worn in a day comfortably. I used the initial insoles that came with the shoes and were quite comfortable, however once getting custom insoles specific to my foot, I would say these could very well be the most comfortable pair of shoes I have owned. The foam base is not over- sized and provides good foot and ankle support while walking/running. The shoes are very light weight and have good breathability with the upper portion of the shoe being primarily a mesh type material that allows for good air flow and helps to keep your feet cool while wearing, even though they fit snugger than most pairs of shoes.

If yours squeak, try some baby powder between the insole and sole. I think these have a glued down insole if remembering correctly, but i think i peeled them up in mine. Put baby power between the layers and try to get it to go between the sole from the upper and the foam of the cushioning/midsole where they are sewn together. Sometimes there are vent holes as well. If you get them really wet/dry and that gets washed out it will return some eventually but you can redo it. Ive had several different styles of squeaky shoes and this works. The squeak is between the upper sole and midsole and not the outer sole and the ground like most people think. That is why they squeak on any surface. Had these shoes for about a year and a half now and used and abused them. Feels pretty much as good or better than pegasus i had, although it is hard to ever get a direct comparison. Ive worked and walked a lot in them and usually feet feel as any other shoe Ive ever had. I coach and do a lot of outdoor work.

Wow. These are awesome. I ran my last half marathon in the Pegasus trail, and I was less than impressed. I went to the Wildhorse but felt those needed more cushioning. When I started doing road races in the vaporfly, I was really hoping that Nike would do some sort of vaporfly hybrid shoe for trails and I feel like this is it! I took it right out of the box on a 7 mile adventure, with about 2k feet of vert in the first 2 miles and then a downhill 3 mile run on a fire road, before hitting 2 miles on pavement. They performed superb. They are ultralite( 6. 5oz in my size) and have a super wide toebox, which is unlike most Nike products. This means that you ’ re not gon na get any pressure on your toenails and they ’ re not hitting up against the front of the shoe. They ’ re super breathable and the carbon fiber plate definitely gives you a little propel forward. I ’ m so excited that Nike finally got a contract with Vibram because the soles are incredibly grippy. I don ’ t know how this shoe would do on super technical terrain, considering it is a race shoe, so it ’s meant to be fast and agile. But I don ’ t know if it would protect you from kicking a rock or hitting a rock with anything near your ankle. You ’ re definitely gon na feel that. I ’ m all in for taking this on my next race and super excited to see how I perform in this shoe. I love that there ’s no break in time with Nike ever and I ’ m really happy to see that they have stepped it up with their trail running shoes. We needed this!

I got these for walking. So far I walked 50km in these and they feel amazing. My estimated normal size is ~13. 2 but since no one makes size 13. 5 I 'm usually either a bit cramped( big toe pushed inwards) in a 13 or swimming in a 14. I got these in size 14 and while they are slightly long, the lockdown around the midfoot is excellent and long length has never been a problem- on the contrary, I enjoy the airy feel in the toe box. The cushioning is just right for walking( or heavier runners)- it's noticeably stiffer than a typical running shoe so I do n't feel like I 'm walking on quicksand. I walked up to 15km per day in these, spending on my feet all day, and there was never any foot pain and my legs felt awesome. Moreover, I risked going on a trip wearing just these, having just purchased them- no blisters! I dig the black/white/gum style as it fits quite well with regular clothes.

I ’ ve tried most of the styles and keep coming back to the Saucony Endorphin Shift 2 w/Speedroll- just wish the prices were better. All the sneakers out now cost a fortune for something hood; yet they have the thinnest layer of rubber on the bottom and zero leather for durability. Honestly none of the sneakers out warrant the price points.

I ’ ve had running knee pain for years. I ’ ve tried different brands of shoes, inserts, etc. and none of them completely eliminated the pain. These shoes however are amazing. I can do long runs with virtually no pain at all.( There are reasons other than shoes for my knee issues.) These are the best running shoes I ’ ve come across. After some experimentation, I came back to the Gel- Kayano Wide and glad I did. I really needed a wider shoe and the Kayano comes in wide and really has the heel support that I need due to my pronation which has caused frequent knee and calf pain. Used the Hyperion GTS2 for interval and tempo days. Liked them so much, they replaced my Adrenalines for recover and long runs( except when it's raining). I 'm getting about 375 miles before the bottoms wear down. The laces are incredible, no chance of them coming undone.@ Brooks- Please do n't stop producing these!!!!!

Overall, this shoe has exceeded my already high expectations. A couple small details that I 've loved:- Ribbed laces have prevented even a single loosening of my laces throughout runs, regardless of weather- I knew they would be lightweight, but I did n't expect them to feel* this* lightweight.- Exceptionally breathable- Dried quickly after I got caught in an entirely unexpected yet predictable PNW rainstorm( shoe was ready to wear again by next day)- The shoe still feels really supportive and cushioned, despite all of the above bullet points which might have made it sound stripped down

I used these during track and cross country did very well in both. I am now heading into my last track race of the season, a 3200 confident in getting a pr. Very fast but make sure you get a size higher then you are and wouldn ’ t recommend to a heel striking runner.
