Great Clubs

Bought them like new condition in 2020 Love them thought I liked my Fusion and big berthas but these are great. 68 yrs old 7 iron 170 yards with nice loft 9 iron 135 plus with very good loft. Found a set for my brother and just bought another set for me. Golf 4 days a week

Best Irons Ever Made

I played over 30 sets of irons and every brand u can think of, I owned them. These irons have everything, distance, speed, forgiveness, the feel is out of this world!!!! Incredible iron the best I ever played, a scratch player to a 20 handicap can play these. AMAZING

Top Of The Line Clubs

I have only had a chance to use these clubs a short time but so far, they're great! They have a good feel to them, and I have improved my game. I'm looking forward to using them when I can. You can tell the quality difference from cheaper clubs (I had the Calloway XRs which is a much cheaper set). I believe I will get more distance but more importantly my stroke technique feels better.

Awesome Looks

Great looking irons and very clean lines very happy with purchase.

I've Had A Lot Of Irons In My Playing Days.

These are the absolute best irons I have ever played. Extremely long, forgiving and added with accuracy. I have waited a year before making this review. It's been the best year of golf I've had. Pricey but when you look at what you put into your golf game, it's a no brainer. My only dissatisfaction in the past year is these irons ding up pretty bad. I've had these a year but it looks like 5. Still, I wouldn't trade them for any others out there.

Game Changing Performance

I have played Callaway irons for 25 years and these are great....the best. The distance they give me as a senior helps my confidence and keeps my handicap normalized. It took me a while to address the gap but I found SW-6 iron to be perfect along with a 4 Epic Flash hybrid and a 2 Super Hybrid. Thanks Callaway for innovating for all levels of golfers.

Game Changer

The epic forged irons have become a game changer for me. From the time I was fitted with them everything changed. Longer and straighter became possible. Don't get me wrong I'm still a work in progress but now in addition to my pro helping me with lessons my Clubs are helping me. I have not enjoyed golf as much as I have since I got these clubs. In the short term man are they expensive and yes i have been a club every month purchaser to spread the pain out. Don't care if I think about how much I have spent through the years looking for this kind of club then these are going to be cheap.

Perfect Fit For High Dynamic Loft Delivery

For a long time since an injury I have fought a swing that produced a launch angle several degrees too high. I had tried strong lofting other clubs and got the expected longer, but lower peak height, lower spin, more roll out, etc., and usually not quite as good as just hitting that next stronger club in the first place (due perhaps to messed up lie angles / club lengths and other things making it play and feel "off"). I had even gone to the extent of trying similar combinations of lofts, lies, lengths and shafts myself helped by some talented club fitters and only managed modestly improved results. So I had just been doing my best to learn to play the overly high ball flight and shorter resulting yardages and worked hard on altering my delivery to try to get my hands super forward and/or to otherwise de-loft the club as best I could within my physical limitations. But no more. These clubs nail it for me. The additional loft puts the launch angles in an ideal window for me, and the peak height is just as high to a little higher than ideal for the actual number stamped on the club at my swing speed resulting in not just the increased carry but also the overall appropriate shot shape and expected stopping power for each club. It's like magic. And after identifying the best shaft to pair with for me, I get spin rates that look about a half club low for each but otherwise because the height is what it is, the descent angles are great and the clubs perform as well as any I've seen fit for anyone. The feel and forgiveness are every bit as good as others have already said, but to me, equally astounding is that I carry the 7-iron in the mid 160 yard range with an average club speed for that 7 iron barely over 80mph and get a land angle of around 48 degrees. That's a full 20+ more yards than I was getting with my previous best (meticulously) fit previous iron and shaft combo, plus the gaps are better and the overall range is more traditional. I didn't think that was physically possible. I dropped a hybrid and added an approach wedge. And as for forgiveness, all but the worst mishits carry within 5-7 yards of the purer shots. That also was not the case most of the procession of irons I had tried along the way and certainly not with the player profile clubs that had been the best fit for me up until these. In full disclosure, I did pick up a few mph club head speed with these due to the heads themselves as well as the heads pairing perfectly with slightly lighter weight shafts, so that is contributing to the overall results. But wow. I'm a little at a loss for cons but don't want to sound overstated so I'll offer that I really didn't expect them to work nearly so well on so many fronts. So much so that I actually almost didn't even consider trying them. They have a little more offset than I'm used to and thought I'd fight hitting them left. I don't. I thought the turf interaction after playing "players" clubs for so long might not be acceptable. It's more than fine. And then there are the preference things that matter less, but matter. Expected them to sound unsatisfying like a club packed with game improvement. But they actually sound amazing. Thought they'd look to chunky at address and put me off. Can't remember if I thought that a bit at address before the first few balls flew or not. I do distinctly remember feeling most comfortable behind a forged muscle back than anything else for years. But once I hit enough shots to know it wasn't just a few lucky ones with these I think my brain just re-wired itself and now they inspire nothing but confidence. I'm sure that they can't be the right fit for everyone, (and I definitely think that getting professionally fit is one of the best things you can do for your game) but in my case they are an amazing fit. At over 50 with some limited range of motion and club speed, I'm hitting clubs that perform almost exactly like a half club off tour averages with that superb shot shape, and they are the easiest to hit clubs I've ever swung.

Don’t Let Being Forged Scare You Away, But The Price Might (But They Are Worth It I Think)

Best clubs I ever hit, and I played a decent, perhaps indecent, number of sets in my 30 yrs playing the game. Look, feel, and set up are great; the clubs are beautiful! You just know that if you put a good swing on the ball it’s gonna go where you’re aiming. Still working on distances; COVID getting in the way.

Wow Factor

Bought these a month and a half ago. Love these irons, feel the best and perform great. expensive but if you love something it doesn't matter, it's only money and i prefer being able to hit irons like i know i can, and these do just that. Apex irons hit long but these are more accurate, maybe the steel fiber shafts are why, not sure , don't care. I am so glad i tried the Epic Forged.

Unbelievably Long And Accurate

Unbelievably long and accurate. Took a little while to learn to hit but they are great Beautiful design and craftsmanship

Significant Improvement

These clubs with the stock shaft significantly improved my accuracy. Range was slightly longer but the accuracy improvement was a tremendous boost in confidence.

Got Them Dialed In Just Right

I finally have my Epic Forged dialed in exactly the way I need them. The journey to this point took a while. I originally ordered them with the Tensei shafts but the feel I look for just was not there. I sent them back to Callaway to have the shafts changed to the Catalyst 60 5.5 softstepped. The feel I was looking for was there but there was too much fade. I hit them off a lie board and found I needed them 2 degrees more upright (5 degrees total). Now they have the 5 to 10 foot fade that I like and play for. Also the yardages they fly are exactly what I am looking for. I like to hit my 7 iron 150 yards and they give me that distance. The course I belong to is an 18 hole par 3 course three days a week so having the irons dialed in is very important for my game.

Gorgeous, High-performing Irons

I was skeptical that the Epic Forged irons, though beautiful, could out perform my Apex irons. I was wrong. I'm spinning these irons higher (which was needed), hitting a higher peak height, all the while adding some extra distance. But what is most impressive is the forgiveness. I've hit several poor shots toe side that felt harsh but ended up only 10 yards short and slightly right of target. And Callaway's design hides that forgiveness. In fact, the topline of the 8i-AW look just like players irons. Because I am generally a low spin player, my fitter recommended bending this set 2* weak to get even higher launch. Doing so has allowed me to go straight from the AW (as opposed to the GW) to my 54* SW. I am very, very happy with my set. And for you big bombers, consider the 4i as a utility club. I have a high-swing buddy who crushes his.

Best Irons I’ve Owned In Years.

I love the feel of a good forged iron and with the Aerotech steel fiber shafts these irons are exceptional. I picked up a full club in distance with these compared to my previous cast, game improvement clubs. They’re expensive but worth the money to me.
