Play your best game with a TaylorMade® clubs designed for your playing style:
Game-improvement irons are designed to enhance both performance and forgiveness. Many game-improvement irons sets include hybrids to replace hard-to-hit long irons, including three, four and five-irons. The remainder of the set feature cavity-back clubheads. Improvement irons typically feature a longer blade length to accommodate off-center hits, and a lower-center of gravity for enhanced trajectory. These irons are ideal for mid-level golfers.
Super game-improvement irons are an enhanced take on traditional game-improvement irons. These irons are great for novices.
Player irons enable experienced golfers to play a variety of shots. These irons have a traditional look, with a shorter blade and reduced offset. A more narrow sole width and thin top line make this club more difficult to play for novice golfers. Players irons are less forgiving on off-center hits.
Choose the right shaft flex. Shaft flex describes the amount of bend in the club. In general, the faster your swing speed, the stiffer your shaft should be. You can speed up your swing with a lighter shaft.
Graphite irons are lighter and absorb more vibration. Steel shafts are heavier, but more durable and consistent on the shot.
