Learn More About Turkey Fryers & Accessories

Turkey Deep Fryers and Accessories to Impress Guests

Give your next turkey a brown and crispy outside and tender and juicy inside with a King Kooker turkey deep fryer.

A 29- to 30-quart turkey deep fryer can fry up to a 20-pound bird to crispy deliciousness. A 26-quart turkey fryer can hold up to a 16-pound bird.

A turkey fryer package likely includes a burner, a large stock pot with lid, a basket, a lifter and a thermometer. The burner operates on a standard propane tank. A higher-end unit contains a stainless steel pot and burner to give you extra durability, while a stock pot and steel burner made of aluminum comes at a lower cost. A pot with a spigot allows for simple oil draining during cleanup.

A deep-fried turkey takes a fraction of the time it takes to bake or roast. Cooking time takes about four minutes per pound of turkey. For example, a 15-pound turkey takes about an hour to cook.

Be sure to have a thermometer on hand, whether it comes in your turkey deep fryer package or you buy it separately, to make sure you heat the oil to the correct temperature. Many recipes call for the oil temperature to reach 350 degrees.

Use a dry rub to increase the flavor of your deep-fried turkey. Give it that extra flavor boost with an injectable marinade. Consider making your own marinade and purchasing one of our marinade injectors. Seasoning and marinade packages are also available and prove to be very convenient.

Many turkey deep fryers use an open flame, which can create some hazards. Only use the propane burner outdoors and make sure someone is always watching the fryer.

It's important to measure the oil needed and never overfill the pot. Use a thermometer to monitor the temperature of the oil during the deep frying and keep the temperature at 350 degrees. Reduce the heat if the oil begins to smoke. Carefully lower and remove the turkey in the deep fryer to avoid oil splashing or spillage.
