I was fortunate enough to be able to grab this when it was half price and I 'm so glad I did! The color is exactly as shown. The inside has a beautifully soft fleece layer. I also like that it has a loop near the tag inside for easier hanging. I often wear a size large in most women's clothing, but this was described as being a little bit of a loser fit and I would definitely agree with that. And I feel like it fits well while even having a little roof to spare, which is great for when I want to wear layers. I also like that it's a little bit longer in the back, so if you 're wearing leggings and would like to cover up a little bit more, this offers a little more coverage. Coverage. There are two good size pockets in the direct front on either side of the jacket and it has a zipper closure. I would definitely recommend this to others and would recommend going a size down from your normal size.

I am obsessed with the Bessie Packable Jacket. It ’s everything I didn ’ t know I needed — lightweight, incredibly warm for how thin it is, and so easy to travel with. I love how it packs into itself and even turns into a pillow( seriously genius for flights or road trips). This jacket is more than I could have hoped for. I operate a snowplow at a ski resort at night during storms clearing parking lots. When I get out of the tractor into what is frequently a howling blizzard, this keeps me warm, sealed and protected. It's loose enough that I can wear layers underneath if it's really cold and the whole thing is lined with nylon so there is no binding at all. The hood and zipper come up to just the right place on my chin to be functional without hindering. And when it's wet snow or rain, it runs right off and I stay dry. Amazingly comfortable. Ive had this jacket for about 2 years and I have never felt cold in it. Very light, easy squeezable into my backpack, and it doesn ’ t make a lot of noise when I walk. Genuinely love it with all my heart.

The Abisko fleece is very light and great as a base layer. I regularly wear this around the house on chilly days and as a base layer in the cold. The fit is great. I typically hover between a medium and a small. I went with the medium. It fits a little loose for me which I do not mind.

It's cute, and worked well keeping me dry and warm on a drizzly day walking around Seattle. However, I have broader shoulders and it is a little tricky to get off and on. Hoping I wont regret keeping it!

I have briefly worn this in the rain, but it was lightweight, comfortable and roomy enough to layer over my nano- puff jacket and another thermal layer under that without being too tight. Without the layers, it's comfortable. The hood provides good coverage without covering my eyes or mouth too much, but just enough. I like the color( turquoise), although my husband and I are now sort of matching..... I 'm happy with it.

[ Gon na keep you free and clean. I haven ’ t used this in the rain yet, but really excited to leave trade my 3- 4 lbs of rain jacket and pants for something that should actually keep my drier when the skies open up and I have a backpack on. Obviously it will breath better and weight a fraction of the amount. Also, you can put it on and remove it without taking your pack off. It ’s also going camping and to all the music festivals.

[ I am not a hiker, camper, or climber. I do n't want to be eaten by bears or wind up as the subject of one of those documentaries with titles like `` so you think you 'd survive?? '' I am an urban trekker and world traveler. I do n't use umbrellas, because I need my hands free for my urban walking stick and for schlepping things. [ I really like this garment. I 've always been a high- end GoreTex guy, but refuse to pay those premiums any longer. I was hoping this would give me the ventilation I needed to wear a puffy without worrying about internal moisture buildup. Did a test with walking around town 2. 5- 3 hrs in continuous light rain. I always kept my arms inside, but developed a strip of moisture along the lower arms where the front/back come together( somewhat expected, but with a slightly longer arm design could be avoided). The other problem was that the face of the fabric itself slowly leaked( it was not sweat buildup as I wore cotton layers for the test and the inner layers were completely dry). It was a small amount of water, but the rain was also light. In my judgement, this works best as a just- in- case layer, either for walking a couple of blocks in town in anything up to a downpour, or summer hiking where you might not care about getting a little damp( probably a short sleeves and shorts kind of day, with a possible shower).
