[ I was in the market for a serious summer sun hat instead of the cheap ones available at all of the big box stores. After much research I decided on Sunday Afternoons Ultra Adventure Hat. I received it and I 'm lovin' it! The first thing I noticed was the air I could feel circulating on the top of my bald head. Having vents on your hat are important, however, they usually allow burning sun rays to filter through. Usually I have to decide between being sunburned without a hat or hot with a hat. The Ultra Adventure hat has happily made that decision for me with its ultraviolet protection factor of 50+, including the mesh panels. No more polka dot sunburned head! Also, its so light weight you can forget you have it on. It is really the lightest hat I have owned. Its hard to believe it can do its job and be so light on your head. The downward sloping 3 ¼ ” brim shades my entire face and the cape keeps the sun off my neck, which is another great design feature. This hat gives protection to head, face, neck and ears without being obtrusive. Other features include a sunglass lock that holds your glasses in place. It works too. I have tried to shake my head to dislodge them and they stay put. Also, if taking a hat in a back pack is an issue for you, this hat folds in half at the brim and can be kept in your pocket. Without a doubt, this is the best hat on the market and worth every penny. I urge people to give this hat a try if you are shopping for the best hat out there. Since its guaranteed for life, it will probably be the last sun hat you need to buy!! You may want to buy more though as soon as everyone sees how cool it is!

I love this hat!!! It is my favorite Sunday Afternoons and I have many others. The only negative is it runs a little small. One Size. After stetching out the elastic band by pulling on it hard repeatedly, it fits comfortably. My head measures 22 1/4 '' around. Now I love it. Good sunblock and better looking than some of the others. I bought the cream with the black band. I would buy the blue and black too but I hate the multi print on the inside of the brim. If they came in plain black on the underside like the cream, I would buy both other colors. Why the multi print? Looks old- ladyish! Please offer all colors with a plain black under side of brim!!! An addendum to my review the black hat should have either solid black trim or back and white, like black and white stripes on the band with black solid under brim for shade protection. The red multi print is aweful!!!

[ I bought 2 originally and honestly am in the process of buying 4 similar hats as I 've had a very difficult time finding a well fitting hat that can hold up to the rigor of normal wear and tear. I wear one for work where my hat has a mountain ridge line of sweat going across it. It has n't warped and the elastic bands still fit snug to my head without the usual looseness that happens after hats get wet or are worn too much in activities that have excessive movements involved. It's also held up after being doused in rain storms. I do n't collect hats or consider them fashion statements and use them for their intended function of providing some shade from the sun and also doubling as a sweat band. The fit is also great.

I have been wearing the same Sunday Afternoons Cruiser hat for five years. During that time I wore it on all of my trips in the High Sierra and through all of my training on the coastal trails nearby. It has been to the top of Mt. Whitney twice, the John Muir Trail, the Sierra High Route, the Trans Catalina Trail, a traverse of the Great Western Divide, a winter traverse of the Glacier Divide and hundreds of miles of other mountain adventures. I made a hat cover and used it as a rain hat. It has been washed after every trip, soaked in creeks, streams and lakes and used as a sit- pad on the trail. Even after all of that it held up. and only recently did it finally start to show some wear. I was saddened to see a small tear in the mesh vent start to grow into a hole. I picked up a new hat while at a local shop before leaving for a long trip this summer. But it was n't a Sunday Afternoons hat. I thought it would be fine... just another sun hat. No big deal. I wo n't mention the brand but it did not work out well. Even though it appeared to have a similar adjustment system I could never get it to fit right. Plus, the brim was always loosing shape and eventually I realized the problem. It was n't a Sunday Afternoons hat! So I ordered another Cruiser hat and it just arrived today. Right out of the box it fits perfectly, and the brim holds its shape just right. It even looks like the brim is slightly larger but that's probably due to the possible shrinkage of my old hat after hundreds of washing cycles. Thank you Sunday Afternoons!

Hat is super light and packs nicely in your pocket if need be. The brim is pretty flimsy, which makes it not so great for casual biking or strong winds. Not enough of an issue to give 4 stars.

The hat is a solid hat from Outdoor Research. It reminds me of one of my favorite hats from 4- 5 years ago from OR. The hat is a mid crowd hat compared to other older models breathable trucker hats. The material breaths well and the adjustment system is simple and easy to adjust on windy days. You can throw it in your bag in the morning and wear for happy hour beers after a ride. Easy to clean or wash off on a a rainy day. Solid boat or river hat too.

hi OR awesome hat but the logo is ambiguously trail- y and I was thinking, a great logo for this collection might be an `` OR '' where the `` O '' is represented by the silhouette of a 12- gear cassette. THAT says mountain bike! Thanks

This hat is a great performance hat for everything. It is a little heavier than a normal swift hat, but I tend to like a heavier hat as this one is more durable. The connection point in the back is stretchy which is very comfortable. I have been running with this hat and it has become my go- to running hat. I am very picky with my hats and this OR hat ticks all the boxes of what I would consider to be a great hat.

[ I really like this hat. It has an adjustable strap in base so I can adjust to fit my head exactly. I do n't have to worry about it sliding forward or off when I tip my head down. It has a nice wide brim to shade from the sun and a strap I can snug up in windy weather. The dark gray color does not show dirt! Great hat.

[ Bought this for a vacation when I ’ d be outside a lot. Very comfortable and lightweight. Love the chin strap and ability to tighten it if needed when the wind blows more. Great but!

[ I love this hat! It is soft and sturdy and can easily be adjusted. I also love the color. My family says it will be easier to find me, but it also makes me happy. I expect this hat to allow me to hang in the sun without exposing my head and face to sun damage.
