I have used them for golf, outdoor exercise and just outdoor chores around the house. The extra cargo pockets on the legs are great to put your phone in and they snap so your items are secure, but still easily accessible. I do wish they were a bit thicker( like this version from years ago), but they are thick enough for construction work. No offense, but size up. I ’ m specifically speaking to my thiqq boys that make noise in the gym. We love leg day, we do it because it allows us to hike for longer. We do it for the glutes. Trust me when I say it ’s not you it ’s them. Size up and thank me later. Aside from the sizing I love these and I personally think they are a great investment if you want to take your hiking attire to the next level. Ventilation isn ’ t the cure for everything and everyone sweats differently. The ventilation here definitely cured my souther sweat factory. I used these on a hike and my back was getting sweaty so on way back I ventilated and holy cow what a difference. You sacrifice a pocket and some thigh space by having the zipper to ventilate but this thiqq boy doesn ’ t like to chafe and am I happy I found these. I still give these a 5 star regardless of the size up. I do not like to have a sweaty bottom or back and this did exactly what I needed. Take the time and invest in gear that will last longer, haste makes chafe.

My favorite for trail runs and hikes. The length to mid knee is perfect. I sized one up because I like shorts with some room, but even so they have what I 'd call a `` normal '' fit. I do like the sized up fit though, very comfortable. The fabric has a nice texture, feels durable. The thigh pocket just barely fits my phone. The zippered back pockets were a good idea.

I have awkward measurements, pear shaped and honestly have tried on all the hiking brands. This pair is just right. The waistband is flattering and comfortable, length is fine too. Currently using these on the AT. They are lightweight, dry fast, sit comfortably under my hip belt, and have a nice stretch. The cinch at the bottom is nice for hiking them up during hot days. My only complaints are the pockets could be a little bigger/deeper, and there should be more colors. I am 5' 4 '', 150#, and have square hips and a flatter butt, usually wear between a size 6 and 8 in pants. Size small fits perfectly in these.

These pants are awesome. I ordered a large and then a medium because the sizing does seem to run on the larger side. I was comfortable in both, but ultimately decided to keep the medium. I usually am a size 10, athletic build, and I am 5'10. There was just too much extra fabric in the front and hip region in the large. Excellent fit and cut. Maybe run a little tight in the waist and hips, slim through the leg. The new AP Active fabric is amazing. Its super soft, breathable, has great stretch. I am giving 4* because the front hip pockets are awkwardly short. I have a normal sized mobile phone and it wo n't fit in those pockets( or the rear pockets) vertically. Also, I wonder about the durability of the fabric long term. That being said, I am going to get another pair. I 'd buy even more if these were a tad heavier and with 5 pocket styling.

I bought these because I liked the zip- off Ferrosi's so much and these pants are great! Despite being in the same family, the fabric feels a little different between these and the zip- offs but still incredibly stretchy and breathable. Like the zip- off, these have the built- in draw string and leg cuffs which is handy for ditching the belt and being able to pull up the cuffs if you like. These have become more of my casual around town pant now because they 're just so comfortable.

The weight and fabric is breathable light. It is the lightest pants I have hiked with. In areas where shorts are not the best option but it is hot these have been a life saver! I like the pockets and drawstring at the waist and ankles. Beginners and experts could both benefit from these pants. The only drawback is that it is thin fabric which can snare on twigs and tear. Pretty durable for their weight though.

My last pair had the zipper to make shorts, which I hardly ever used and was less comfortable due to the zipper. WHERE ARE THE NEW COLORS?!?! These are the most absolutely amazing pants on the market and I 'm getting nervous that there are no new fun colors this season. It's true that this fabric does pill little bit but hear me out- they 're still totally worth it! I work exclusively outside for my fulltime job, hiking 5 miles per day on average and I genuinely wear these pants 4 days a week at minimum. I 've had the same pairs of Ferrosi's for over 5 years and though pilled, they 've lasted perfectly and show no other signs of wear. They are crazy lightweight and breathable but also water resistant. They keep me cool in 100+ degree weather and also do great over a baselayer in the winter. They are stretchy enough but also hold their shape. OR, you better warn us if these ever get discontinued so I can buy 10 more pairs.

I 've bought three pairs of these pants over the years. They are slim- fitting, a bit stretchy, and lightweight. Good for summer. They have some nice details like the pockets and cuff snaps, although honestly I do n't use either of those much. They are very slim fitting, so make sure you do n't order them too small in the waist. A lot of outdoor clothing companies make pants similar to these-- light, slightly stretchy, clean- looking and not too complicated. I think these are one of the better versions.

The pants have a perfect amount of stretch, which makes them comfortable during a day on the trail, and when relaxing around camp afterward. The zippered legs come off and on easily, and the adjustable drawstring at the ankle allows you to cinch it up around your boot to help keep 6- 8 legged critters and trail debris out of your shoes. I recently purchased a pair of ferrosi shorts, 7 '' length. I 'm 5' 4 and I think the length is great. They are come to a couple of inches above my knee( long enough that there is no inner thigh chaffing) and the shorts are n't too tight in the leg opening( I 'm more curvy vs slim in the thigh). I have n't had a chance to use them heavily yet- will update if I see the need, but expect that they will be great based on what I 've seen so far.

The most comfortable waistband. It has some type of very soft liner in the waistband that is a treat. Yes, these are a little higher- waisted then my other outdoor joggers, but it works because you can easily and comfortably, roll down the waistband without bulk. Material is so, so comfy( and no swish/swish when walking, etc). I 'm a 27/4 pants in Women's and probably could 've sized down to an XS). Length great at 5' 4 but the design is such that I can comfortably roll- up the bottom once and they still look 'cute' and are functional.

Finally, the absolute perfect pair of pants!! I am so excited! I have long been obsessed with the Ferrosi fabric, and joggers are my favorite style of pants. They are legitimately the most comfortable and functional pants I 've ever owned and I hope they make so many more colors. I fluctuate between the 16 and 16W sizes in the regular Ferrosi pants, and the XL in the joggers fit me perfectly. I could also probably wear the XXL but they 'd be significantly looser than the model in the pic and I like them a little form fitting. I would say to size down if you 're in between sizes unless you want them baggy. The drawstring waist is so comfy and non- restrictive, and the cuffs hit right at the ankle of my 5'10 '' frame. They are the perfect amount of stretchy but hold their shape, they 're super breathable and water resistant, and honestly more comfortable than most of my pajama pants! Way to go OR!

I ’ ve put a ton of wear and tear on these pants with backpacking, hiking, rock climbing, and general travel. For being as breathable and light as these are, they hold up to abrasions pretty well. I ’ ve had tons of branches, rocks, and trees slide on these without any major damage. The integrated shoelace/string belt on the interior of the waist is a great little compliment to the external belt loops, no extra bulk with a little extra security. One small negative I have for these are the elastic cinches at the cuffs. They ’ ve held up fine so far, but I ’ m always worried about losing one of the little clips that go on them. Just make sure you loosen them before taking the pants off and double check that the 2 pieces are still there.

I love the way these pants feel and look. I recently bike commuted in them in the rain and unexpectedly they did great shedding water, they barely got wet at all. I love the stretchy waistband and overall fit. Being a little taller, they bottoms are a few inches above my ankles but that's fine if you 're looking for that. I would love an identical option that extended another 6 '' or so and in a few more fun colors. I 'm about 5' 7 '' and 133# and a size S was just right to avoid a baggy look that still moved well. I always seem to fall somewhere between an OR size S and M for bottoms, though.

I recently took a skid on a downhill abrasive, pebbly hike and thought `` this is end of these pants ''. I was wrong- they were n't at all damaged and the rock dust just brushed off. I would love to see some more colors in muted tones- gray, drab olive green, etc. The khaki color goes with most color tops, but the green is an evergreen color that does n't go with most of my wardrobe, just the black and white tops.
