The rod itself is nice. It throws lightweight lures far, is supper lightweight, and the rod tip is sensitive but not floppy like ugly stiks. Being that this is a $100 combo, this is where all the money went. The reel is one of the lesser ones I’ve used. The handle constantly comes loose and the drag is inconsistent. However, the texturing on the reel makes braid not slip, and when the drag works it works well. All in all, really good combo to start with, that will serve you well for a long time. Just expect to replace the reel relatively quickly, unless you’re not too picky then it will serve you well if taken care of and adjustments made.
