Great Jacket/bad Color

Everything about the jacket is rugged and high quality. The stitching and was perfect and the large tooth YKK zippers were smooth with no snags. Fit is good but on the slimmer side (in a good way). You can layer a sweatshirt and puff vest but that’s about it. If you need more, size up. Unfortunately I had to return the jacket due to the antler color being very pink. No other colors were available in my size so I had to go with the thermograph jacket, which is also very good.

Great Jacket

Excellent fit, large front zippered pocket, durable and warm. Love the over the helmet hood and additional removable snow gaiter. It’s GOR-TEX, enough said.

Men's Gt Shell

Jacket is very amazing, was in very Tahoe snow for a couple days in a row and never noticed the water at all. Jacket is very wind and water proof. Just what I was looking for.

Dripped Out

This jacket looks great on the mountain and off. Kept dry when out for several hours in rain, but wetted out halfway through a deep powder day. Hood works well with a helmet, but hood could be a bit bigger. The hand-warmer inner cuffs are good, but can wick up water during heavy rain. Pockets are good placement and size and insulated phone pocket is a definite plus! I love that various features in the jacket (such as the "Glove Link" are in a contrasting colour and labelled so that you don't have to guess their uses. Note that the jacket is a lined shell, meaning that it provides more warmth than some other shells.

Storing Area Not Enough

686 Gtx Gt Shell Jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After performing imeccably for 10+ years, it was time to retire my old 686 jacket. I went back to 686 and bought their GT shell jacket. The "L" jacket fit perfectly, not baggy but no restriction of movement. The hood fits a helmet easily and I love the well thought out and feature laden design. Used once on typical NW day, 35 F with wet snow, I stayed totally dry. This shell is a winner!

Looks & Feels Great

Gt Is The Jacket For You

Great quality great style, amazing fit. Powder skirt works amazing. Super hyped on this and cannot wait to buy something else! Keeps me warm even when it’s under 25 degrees! Can’t ask for much more. Great color style too. Takes away worrying about style and just lets you focus on skiing.

Great Quality Jacket

Great quality 2-layer Gore-Tex jacket. It's a shell, so I don't expect much warmth. I run warm, so I got it for this very reason (to stay cool).

Arm And Neck Part Longer Than Expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love it! I wear a patagonia medium and the arms are kind of long along with the neck part. But the chedt snugs in perfectly. I guess ski jackets are supposed to run bigger.
