Junk. Not What They Once Were

Bought 2 of the 6500 C4 reels. Used one for snagging,works great. The other one I put line on,then never used it. Decided to use it tonight. Line will NOT retrieve. Have some of these reels from 20+ yrs ago that still work like new. These new reels....total waste of $140

It's Great

I'm a beginner and I find this reel easy to use. I'm ready to get on that water now.

One Of The Best Round Reels On The Market!

For starters, since no one shows the size differences online, understand that each reel is the same size in diameter as it is the actual spool width that is different which is different then most of the Asian reel makers market their round reels. As for the reels functions; this reel casts, as well as most of Abu's Revo low profile line but the internal mechanisms, are much simpler and I would say more reliable because of the lack of coil springs in the clutch system. My only complaint is the same that I have with the entire Ambassador line and being that there are too many parts (I am referring to the side plates) that have too many screws holding them on and they should be checked often especially after a lot of riding time in a petroleum-powered vehicle and that replacement parts are hard to come by in the U.S..

I'm a Very satisfied customer with this purchase. The best of seven other rod/reel combos I own. I use this every trip since purchase of Abu Garcia reel.

Some reels cost more than the C4, but this one gets the job done. Excellent and didn't spend $400

Broken All Ready??

Bought this as a gift for my boyfriend because he grew up fishing this reel. He was so happy when I gave it to him. He takes such good care of it making sure to clean it after salt water fishing and never to lay it where it can get dirty. We were fishing recently and out of nowhere the reel just stops working. You would think after using a reel only a few times and being very careful it would last you a while. I am very disappointed and very sad that I got this for my boyfriend. What a waste of $130 :(

Best Reel Ever

This is one of the best reel I ever own. Great for fresh water fishing, will not let you down in performance or handling with a 7' ft. medium heavy rod.

Smooth As Silk

Know matter where you fish the Abu-Garcia C4 is ready. Use can fish mono, fluorocarbon, or braid it handles them all well. Catfish channel cats, flathead cats this reel has the power to bring them in!

Great Product

This is the second Ambassadeur that I have purchased, and I love them both. My only complaint is the shipping company- UPS never deliver my packages to the right house.
