Bad Gear Ratio.

Not for men who catch fish over 10 lbs. Lingcod are impossible to reel in on this do to sbinding and poor ratio. As bad using as spin-caster. Not to be used on any thing other than a bait rod.

Great Reel Overall - Alarm Failure First Season

Great reel overall - very versatile. With enough practice you can get some major casting distance! The only issue I had was the clicker-alarm; it failed after just one season. I regularly cleaned it with freshwater and periodically applied marine grease. No biggie - the parts are available online, just search for "6600 BCX" when entering your model number. Coincidentally, the alarm assembly its self is declared "obsolete". Coincidence... who knows.
