Classic Lure Still Has A Place

Kastmasters are nothing new, but they still bring in fish. Great for shore fishing at reservoirs that don't allow boats and hold landlocked salmon and lake trout. Kastmasters do indeed cast far, which is very useful when bank fishing, and they can be used with several simple retrieves. I've had most luck with 1/8 and 1/4oz, but the 1/2 and larger lures can cast a serious distance to help reach the right spots...just remember they'll sink fast if you're trying to avoid bottom snags. They've also caught a few smallmouth bass here and there.

Still Great Classic Lure

Typically my 'go to' lure when I hit the water as all typical freshwater game fish will hit these when they are in the mood to bite hard lures. Also hard to beat on those windy days.
