Base Layer Heated Shirt

I wore my Base Layer Heated Shirt last night for the first time. It worked as advertised but not as well as I expected. I started the night on the High heat setting and switched to Medium heat about 20 minutes later. I continued on the Medium heat setting for the remainder of the night, about 3 hours in total. While I could tell I was wearing a heated shirt, it failed to keep me comfortable. I had to press the heating element against my skin to assure myself that the shirt was working. While everything seems to be well made and I approve the design and materials, I remain unimpressed with the performance of the shirt.

I do like this! I just wish the heck wasn’t so tall. It’s not heated so no reason to be. Would prefer to be hidden more of just a base layer. Sticks up under stuff. Heats very well though in the smaller areas that it does, love that it comes with a battery! Battery life has been great so far! Give a couple hours so works well for outdoor hockey games;)

You don’t realize how much you need a heated base layer until you have one! It’s been such a benefit to various aspects of my life. I wear it beneath my layers when spending time outdoors during winter in Wisconsin. But I’ve also worn it to work (in an office) during especially cold days. It fits true to size and is comfy. Somehow it seems to trap heat inside yet it’s also breathable, I don’t sweat in it like I have with other base layers.
