I think this would be fine for an adult but not for a kid 5 yrs of age for sports. The material isn’t great at keeping sweat away. I think it’s more for style I assume.

Not Great For Extreme Amounts Of Sweat.
1 star deduction because very minimal amounts of sweat get past the headband during longer runs. Overall great headband, I love the sticky lines on the inside that keep the headband in place on my forehead.
