The shoes are on the narrower/tighter side (in a positive way) as the shoes hold my son's feet in place when he is running and kicking the ball. The only downside is the shoes need time to break in.

These cleats are working great so far for the start of my son’s soccer season. I was hesitant that they would not stay on tight enough without laces; the reason I bought them is also because of the convenience of not having laces. I have been pleasantly surprised as he has not had any issues with them falling off or being too loose during the game.
