Boston 13 Consideration

I’ve been running in the Adidas Boston 13 for just over a month, and while it performs well in some areas, it has given me issues on longer runs. If you’re upgrading from the Boston 12, be aware that the 13 fits differently. You’ll likely need to go a half size up, as the toe box is noticeably narrower. The instep also feels higher, which for me led to over-pronation on long runs and even a stiff Achilles. I’m not alone in this, on one of our Adidas Runners Cape Town sessions, four other runners had similar problems, ranging from blisters to discomfort over distance. That said, running shoes are very individual, and some runners might not experience these issues at all with the Boston 13. In short, the Boston 13 could work for some, but if you had a good experience with the Boston 12, make sure you try these carefully before committing.

Could Have Been Excellent But Fell Short

the shoe could have been really really good but it misses the layups of a shoe. first I don't know why the whole bottom isn't just light strike pro that would make a lot of sense, also the fit and lacing system is absolutely horrendous the laces are incredibly short and to get a proper fit where your heel feels locked down you would have to double knot or if you can which you can't do a runner's not.

Length Was Fine (I.e Standard To Size). Too Narrow

ok, there are narrow running shoes, and then there are these. ff you have a pretty normal width, these shoes will be too narrow for you. The description should note how narrow they are. I uploaded a picture to show how narrow they are compared to my current Adidas SolarGlide 6 runners. They are almost an inch more narrow.

Tempo Trainer

Has a nice feel and hits the spot as a rempo run trainer. If your pace @ tempo rides around a 7 min mile you will enjoy the feel and will enjoy how smooth through the stride feels. Not intending on using them for slow runs or intervals as they aren't intending them for this and I also feel they lack in this department. If you rotate them in for tempo runs, you will be quite satisfied.
