Carried Me Through My First Marathon
Fit: True to size. Not too wide or narrow in the heel or midfoot, but toebox tapers a bit. I would prefer a wide toebox but it stayed comfortable throughout the marathon. Upper: Very breathable! Midsole: Lightstrike pro is no joke. This is the same foam in the much more expensive adios pro series. Bouncy ride that takes a couple runs to break in. Doesn’t feel that special for short distances but really shines once you hit 10-20 mile distances. Made 20 miles feel like 12 in my regular training shoes. Reasonably stable but I could see how it could feel unstable to some due to its high stack height and soft foam. Outsole: Grippy even in the rain. Surprising durability for such a thin rubber that reduces weight. Overall: Absolutely worth the hype. Ran my first marathon in them with no setbacks or injuries. Would recommend for anyone without major stability issues, and does not need/prefer a plated shoe. Exceptional value for the price with its full length lightstrike pro midsole for over 100 less than the adios pro.
